Jimmy -

Please share with us your daughter's name so we (or at least I) can pray for her.... I have 3 kids and can't imagine your fear at this point.

Keep us posted on the progress of this endeavour (both the raffle and your little one's health).

I'm personally not overly religious but you and your family are definitely in my thoughts. I sincerely hope everything goes perfectly and you guys can return to being a normal family. When your daughter has recovered from the surgeries that go flawlessly, you're obligated to post pictures of her for us though. :)

I think I speak for most everyone here on NICO when I say that you have our best wishes and our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Im so sorry to hear that. Im only 17, but I wouldnt know what to do if I was faced with this problem. Yes please tell us your daughter's name and Ill put in a prayer for her 2nite. I cant believe they kicked you out like that. Id feel so guilty if I did that and I wouldnt be able to look at myself in the mirror if I found out that I was wrong. Morons.

I take this to mean that Gia is her name, she will be in my prayers Jimmy!

Edit: Her full name is: Georgiana Alice Banach <<Taken from the first thread he posted as well.

Edit 2: Here are some pictures of him, his wife, and his little girl:

Edit 3: They don't allow offsite linking, perhaps someone can host them for him? They are on the 3rd page of the thread he linked too in his first post.

thanks guys, i was a bit weary about posting cause even though we get alot of positive mail wishing the best. two other forums i was apart of i got alot of hate mail that was painful to read. wishing us harmm and other things like that.

my daughters name is georgiana alice banach. we named her that cause george is her fathers name and alice was my recently deceased great grandmothers name. she turned 4 months on november 4,2003. she is a beautiful little girl and already strated decoration the house in hopes she can come home for her first christmas. but that is looking very bleek. its hard for us to see her being so small and fighting against something we can't help her with.

all we all can do is pray. my family appreciates everyones prayers and keeping gia in their thoughts.

thanks guys. i am thinking of anyway to raise money. raffels maybe. i tried numberous times to get my wife to let me notify the news and papers but she dosen't want gia to seem like a charity case. maybe a auto cross event or a drag event for a fund raiser or something. but its the wrong time of the year for all that.

i am mind boggled.

Now is the time for pride to take a backseat... Your daughter's health is paramount. There may be some wealthy person reading the paper/watching the news just waiting to fund a worthy cause - happens ALL the time.

Agreed. Ask your wife What is more important? Gia seeming like a charity case in the news papers? Or her Gias life. I say do any thing you can by any means necessary.

well we talked to tina's grandmother and she said that the lawyer is working with the health care system to see what can happen. they said that they aren't accepting new citizenship into the country but didn't know about adoption. she said the lawyer mentioned that in the case that we are in that they may accept her on a special account that it is a life and death situation, and they wouldn't refuse a adoption scenerio. especially that her grandmother is a good standing citizen and it is her blood line at risk. but there may be a probation period concerning the adoption. gia may have to live with her for 6 months before a full benifits would be applicable.

so we are going to wait to see what else the lawyer says.

well gang gia work up early yesterday. when she was my wife and i she had the biggest smile. brought teats to our eyes. she wasn't allowed out of the incubation box cause of all the vistiors in the icu, being thanksgiving and all. they wanted to be safe that she didn't contract anything. she was grogy and a little weak, but healthy. no new update on the australian option. the lawyer is trying to get the probation period waived cause of the severity of our situation. but legislation laws are interfering with that.

hopefully next week wil bring better news than we already heard.

I hope that the other two forums you recieved the hate mail from did not involve nissanforums. if so i'll have a talk with those guys in OT. but again, i wish you guys luck and hope things get better. as a student im not too well in the financial department, or i'd help as much as i can. but i hope all is well and happy holidays.

p.s., have you tried the scotish rite hospital? a friend of mine has a brother who is very ill a lot and he has his stuff done there. she told me to mention it to you to see if you have tried.

thanks guys. this whole ordeal is torture on everyone in our family. we are trying to take some pics of her in her incubation box but the hospital will not let cameras into the icu unit. and they have armed state police that frisk you down before you go in and after you come out. they take all forms of id when you check in so they know who you are. the security in their infant icu area is top notch!!

we are still waiting to hea if tina's grandmother can get the probation period waived cause my daughter has a sickness, if she can adopt her. but the lawyers and legislation are fighting it out. my wife and i are literally losing our hair cause we are so stressed out. she wears a hat from time to time cause clumps are falling out all the time. she can't comb her hair cause all of it would come out, so she puts it into a bun. i have slept a total of 10 hours all week. so i have black circles under my eyes and i have lost about 20 pounds since she has gone into the hospital. we still are so far away from our goal, and we still don't know what to do.

my buddy george perinis thought to have a auto cross event at fed ex field. but he hasn't heard back from the regional scca guy if he has the ok to do it. hopefully we hear something soon. time is ticking.

i didn't sleep again last night. my face is starting to hurt bad cause i can't get any rest anymore. but on the good side gia laughed for the first time today. she saw my wife and i sit down and we got real close to her incubation walls and made some noises and she laughed. that brought tears to our eyes. but the doctor informed us that her liver is shutting down more frequently and may have to be put on a machine that would do the work her liver does for her. also she has been throwing up her food almost every feeding. she is beginning to lose weight, but gains it back the next day or so. she barely opens her eyes cause her face is swollen with the medications she is on.

the hair falling out and the tired facial muscles are signs of sleep deprevation, jbanach, you might want to talk to your doctor about a mild sleep aid/enducer....in your physical state right now, i think a strong one may do more harm then good, but talk to a physician b4 u do anything. An again, you and your family are in my prayers.

Yea I get a mild form of sleep deprevation at least once or twice a week, but it's not this bad. Also its rough how your mind starts to wander off and you cant control it. Also the nothing makes sense and playing video games ordoing anything else becomes very frustrating. Even the easy tasks become hard. Lastly I hallucinate sometimes a little and somtetimes a lot, but either way its not fun. Combine all that with the current stress in your life is not good at all. Keep this and you'll get very sick. We all know that isnt needed right now so just take a nice shower and go to bed. If its for 15+ hours or even 5 hours, it's Ok. You need it. Also see a doctor for some help on this. My moms a nurse and she said If you cant sleep, take some Benedryl and a glass of warm milk. She also said that if you go to the doctor they might give you a prescription for ambien(I believe thats what she said) and that would help you sleep. I pray thay you guys make it out all right. You deserve to after all this. be all right.

we were told that under the right circumstances gia's lungs can heal to a point. but her liver has completely shut down. they said it looks almost like she has been drinking for 50 years. she has been put on a machine to relive her liver of functoning. i finally got sleep last night. got about 12 hours. and i feel like a totally different person. tina and i had a hugh fight and her family sent over a few of their soilders to remind me that i am here only because gia is.

news about australia is that the physician is flying up this weekend. he will be staying in a hotel not far from the hospital. gia has been upgrades to critical but stable condition. we still have not been able to hold her since her collapsed lung surgery. which upsets me very bad. both of our families want to see her badly. but they can't because only the parents are allowed into the intensive care unit.
