Guys.. Got good news and bad news...

Good news is that I finally am getitng to paint the q. It has been sitting since June when I bought it due to some other "events" goin on in my life...now that my head is clear time to play....

Good news:I am doing a full paint job!! (Already have the car apart..)FULL BLACK-OUT of car... (everything including lights except for fronts..)Trying to decide on a Black from a recent model car that will give the q a somewhat updated look... (black with Pearl) mmm...

Bad News:Check those GUIDES!!Front caliper is locking up..... (need some stockers until i can upgrade)Need rear bumper support bracket (Rusted to hell)Full engine diagnostics... Starts up great but seems to stutter when revingRadio brackets.. (someone stole the 1995 Kenwood cd player and jacked up the wood grain.. (jack@sses...)Need to replace the plenum hosesSounds like fule pump is gonna go..

Questions:Where do I register the VIN online to get the report on the car? http://www.infiniti.com?Anyone close to the Charlotte,nc area with a totaled q want to sell some body parts cheep? (just moved back kind of low on the cash..)Any suggetsions on a black paint ftom a recent car.. Mercedes etc..

If you haven't cultivated a good relationship with a local dealer's service writer who will then print you out the archived dealer performed service history, then you are at the mercy of Infiniti Customer Service and your shorthand as the records are read to you, after you register as the vehicle's current owner.

Side note...

Are j30 calipers a direct swap for my 90 Q45? If so what years of the J30 fronts fit the 90q45?

Check PopPop in the classifieds here and see what he can get for you. Lots of stuff to be had here and on ebay. Good luck. Charlotte having a NICO get together on Feb 3rd I think at some mall. Check the regional forum.

Replace that pump, pronto, like after the guides. Mine went on me, man was I scared. love my baby too much. Pumps are ~500 dollars from what I hear(I work at an auto parts store so I get leet discounts)

The fronts are the same, the rears are wider to accommodate the J30's ventilated rotors, which are the same as teh FGY33 rear.
