I inserted a CD....now gone! can't play or eject

2007 M35. I rarely use the CD player, but it has always worked.

Yesterday, I burned a new CD and inserted it into the player. Music didn't play. Tried to eject..nothing happened.

Any tips what to do next?

Did you try switching to other slots and then back to the one that 'ate it'? I'm assuming you turned the car off and back on?

I'm also having issues with mine where it frequently errors out on the reading...not sure if it's just spotty burns or if it's getting old. That's what happens when you hardly use it like me.

Disconnect battery terminals for a few minutes. Reconnect and it should spit out the CD

What Felipe said worked for me when I had a stuck cd.
Unfortunately, the cd changer is a POS design. Mine doesn't work at all now.
I wired an AUX cable and use my phone for music.

Unfortunately for me, no luck.
I disconnected battery for 5 mins.

When I reconnected, the player made some noises, churned a bit, but nothing came out.

If I press LOAD, I can insert a screwdriver or something else in the slot. Does the CD typically sit close to the surface? It makes me nuts that the disc is stuck in there, and that the gears keep churning every so often....

Here's my solution:

The last time my CD got stuck, I had to remove the changer from the dash to get it out.
That's when I decided that it wasn't worth the hassle any more.
