Looks great, so you are going to the dyno with the same setup and psi, but with the new manifold, just to see the gains from the manifold???

yes

first tunning my methanol for about 20psi and letting the car cool and pump out any pump gas left. then dumping in 5 gallons of C16 and turning on my 27psi setting on the boost controller. prolly take it up to where the clutch will slip, i say around 550rwhp, also the limits of the jwt/z32 setup

Nice Ant! I REALLY cant wait to see the gains you get from that stuff. Make sure to log your boost as well so we can see how it effected your spool and throttle response.

It is really a nice piece.

Its been in the works for awhile, and Xcessive finally got it into production. Right now it is in limited production and I believe there is 6 left. It is however, the ONLY aftermarket KA Intake manifold.

Rick, I have a question about cold idle with that manifold, maybe you can answer. As I'm sure youre aware, the factory cold high-idle is achived through an enrichment based off of the coolant temp sensor, combined with the IACV opening to allow air into the manifold. I see there is no IACV on this manifold, so idle is obviously done by cracking the throttle plate a little bit. All fine, except during cold idle when your ECU is adding more fuel to account for the IACV air that is supposed to be there.

So what happens during cold idle? Does your engine just run like junk till it warms up, are there provisions for this, or am I missing something?

Fiznat: We havent had any problems with the stock ECU and this intake manifold, even on cold starts. It just takes a few seconds longer to achieve a stable Idle. Also, with a standalone with a temp/idle table you can set it up to start and idle just like factory.

Greg: If you would like one, please give me a call.

i already had my IACV blocked off, from a couple weeks ago for other reasons. like mentioned i cracked open the throttle some. on cold starts it takes just a few seconds to get stable then would idle smooth just a little low. once it warmed up the it would idle at a normal rpm

UPDATE: got most of the work done today, got dark and my ride back to my other car showed up so i left it for tomorrow.

So far the manifold is awesome. everything is so clean and simple. just the other night racing my car, it wasnt holding an idle. i figured it was a vaccuum line but it was to dark then to see. today found it was some crap line on the back of the old manifold blew off. NO more of that.

All the intake manifold bolts are very easy to get to now. even the PCV lines are easy to get to with the manifold installed.

also dropped the harness that usually goes over the manifold underneath, to make things even better.

pics tomorrow

So I know that there is a limited run of 6 right now but is there any plans to produce more of them in the future as a stable product?

I'm looking forward to seeing the numbers. I'd port the runners alot more personally. I'd also move the weld to the outside of the runner. But I'm pretty far from doing up my own mani at this time. So as the current, and only, this one loooks pretty damn good to me.
