All right guys i've got everything unattached and we're gonna pull the head when my dad gets home from work today...

And MadSci I'm not too bummed...$hit if anything else it gives me an excuse to build this thing right...I've got a low mileage working KA sitting here that I can put back in for the time being, and I just heard back from Nissan that I got the technician position so I'll have some extra cash flow soon!

I'll let you guys know what it looks like when we pull the head off today, but to be honest I'm not all that worried...like I said, Its kind of a win-win situation...If its all good, I'll have a running stock CA this weekend. If its damaged, I pull it, use my KA for awhile longer (I've been using it for over a year now) and build this CA into a monster!

What would a set of good forged pistons cost me anyways?;)

CP is a higher quality piston than JE,

My freind Rock went through 2 sets of JE pistons trying to get a set that fits right. Not to mention that when I called around JE said it would be 4-6 weeks, CP said 2 (since they have to be custom made).

anyhow, that's why I went with what I went with, even though they are more money....

hey man, check out ROSS pistons, copmplete custom pistons, their website lists all nissan four cylinder for $390 a set. thats not bad at all. I dont know what lead time or turnaround time is. let me know what you decide.

I just got my block back from sonic testing, turns out I can only go 84mm bore, 84.5 is too big they say. so, i will be in the market for a set of pistons. do I smell a group buy coming on???

edit:ROSS link

thats another good idea is group buying, when u do this you catch breaks on shipping an sometimes the actual pricing itself, good luck guys
