EDIT Crazy rattling has been fixed for the most part. Put most of front coilovers back together and cut off an inch of the lower mount to get the right drop. There isn't much clearance between the strut and the axle so that's as low as I'll be going. There is still rattling in the rear which I learned is due to running true coilovers. When there is nothing in the spring bucket the bucket rattles. I plan on installing g35/350z toe arms which will replace the bucket and I will let you guys know how it goes.

Dimensions: 19x9.5 +29/+17 225/35/19 all around, slammed on BC coilovers in the front and MDU 350z coilovers in the rear

Hey Nico Fam, it's been a while.

Here are a couple teaser shots of some new stuff that I have coming. I've been very busy with school and work and now that both have wound down, it's time to put some plans in to action! I'm still waiting for a couple of more pieces of the puzzle, but the bulk of everything is here. I'm expecting my car to look exactly how I would like it to by this upcoming Saturday.

I'm just gonna say out right that I don't want to disclose my wheel specs just yet, but I will in time! I will say that I've been doing a lot of research regarding fitment and suspension and I'm willing to help anyone that has any questions. I'm still learning and I don't know everything but I think I know enough for what I'm trying to accomplish. The greatest fact that I've come to realize is that you can make anything fit (and no my setup is by no means "extreme", in my eyes at least.)

So here are some pics of what's been coming in for the past few weeks:

Awesome lug nuts. Grabbed these for a great deal on g35nyc forums!

Camber Arms were actually installed today. I didn't install them myself but it looked very simple. There were absolutely no hiccups during the install (SPC 350z Application)

Image

My new wheels, the heart of the journey. This has been the longest 4 months of my life but they're finally here. They're at a local powder coating shop and should be finished by Wednesday.

Stretch and Low Pro's

Image

Still waiting on these to come in. They're actually for 350z's but the rears fit with no issues. As far as ride quality, I'm hoping it won't be much worse because the spring rates are the same. But it's a true coilover setup as opposed to BC's with the independent spring perch. A friend of mine let me test fit his when I was talking to him about how BC's don't go as low as I would like in the rear (even with the collars removed). I plan on leaving the fronts with BC's for two reasons: 1) camber adjustments which the MDU's don't have 2) The fronts can still go lower. I've also waited about two and a half months for these. There have been delays upon delays but my dealer says they are in Dallas somewhere. I'm hoping they'll be here by Friday at the latest.

Image

That's about it. I hope everything looks like I've envisioned. Thank you to those that have helped along the way! A more proper thank you will come when everything is together (don't wanna thank you and then have the end result look horrible, haha).

Can't wait bro. With your talk about adjustable camber, I have a feeling the offset on those works is pretty low. I might be one of the people interested in your setup once it's complete

Thanks guys. I don't think my offsets are "low" but they're just right for the look I'm going for. As far as being low, I really like my current ride height and if I could get a lip that would give the car a perfect slammed look. But it's so hard to close up the wheel gap on our cars if you aren't on 20's =/

I'm having a lot of setbacks.

1. The custom powder for my wheels arrived yesterday and they probably won't be done until Tuesday.
2. My BC fronts CAN'T go lower. The guy at the shop either lied to me or made an honest mistake. But you can tell he feels bad.
3. The MDU fronts don't fit because of the location of the control arm mounts.
4. Looks like the best solution is to combine parts from both but the guy wants to charge me again even though he made the bad judgement call. I think he should do it for free because I ruled out a lot of other coilover alternatives on the assumption that my BC fronts could go lower.

Nice! What brand wheels did you get?

As far as updates:
The MDU's in the rear sit very low and I still have some room to go down!

My car is at the shop getting the front coilover issue taken care of, or not =/ I'll find out after work

I dropped by the powder coating shop today and they said the wheels may or may not be done by the end of the week. They supposedly got an expedited order and they had to put that job in front of mine. Very disappointing.

Sorry to hear that but good things come to those that wait right? (Hopefully). I had to wait around 2 months for mine, but once I got them, I couldn't wait to put them on.

Can't wait to see what you got either.

Good news: car is lowered.
Bad news: it rattles a s*** load and feels very unsafe to drive. Going back under tomorrow. If I can't find a decent solution by Friday, I'm done with it haha. It's been way too ridiculous

Please post pics :)
Is the dampening set on hard? Maybe That's why it rattles unless maybe you have a lose nut somewhere

I can't open the box because the box isn't at my house

I'll take pics of the drop tomorrow. My garage has poor lighting and I really don't wanna drive unless i have to. It's about 1.25" lower than the max setting in the front. It's rattling because we took out some non-essential components of the coil like some nuts, some non-metal piece, and turned the top mount upside down. I'll be replacing the BC top hat with the MDU version tomorrow and it should feel more stable.

Sorry for bad pics. Taken at night, no tripod and quickly. I think it looks good but rubbing is an issue. Nothing a little camber won't solve haha. And when I say little, I mean little. Or removing fender lining but that's a last resort, I think it looks too tacky. But I'll probably have nice pics up by this weekend. Gonna play with the camber tomorrow in the rear for sure, and if I can figure out how to adjust the camber on the BC's in the front, I'll play with that too and MAYBE go lower another .5, but only with camber. Has anyone adjusted the BC camber before?

Good job on the fitment and wheels. Wish we could see more people do these type of "ballin" setups.
