This thread is boring...if you don't like a mag, then don't read it...it's simple as that, no need to make a thread about something you don't like. If that were the case, I'd be starting endless amounts of threads about stuff I don't like.

i'm thinking that they were bored and felt like talking a lot about nothing, sometimes I tend to do that when it is really late and i can't seem to get to sleep and my mind is not exactly functioning to its best ability, so i just go online, browse around for a short while, can't think of anything good to say or comment on, so i look over at my trash can, not sure why i looked at the can, but i did, and i notice that $4 dollar magizine that i have read only once, which took all but 3 minutes, so i get pissed and felt like sharing, so i go to NICO, my favorite message board for 240sx, and share and see how many other people hate those waste of space articles and magazines that just sit on the shelf at the store and make the others look bad. hmmmm, i'm hungry, i'm going to go make a sandwhich . . . . . . .

Yes Im living in Italy right now and while passing through Heathrow in London I picked up Max Power... lots of ugly hatchbacks. The girls are naked but odd looking. The problem with the European hatchback scene is that they throw nasty body kits on their cars and leave the engines completely untouched.

I just flat out hate civics, or wait better yet honda all together. it seems everytime i do a search or look somthing up (examples: coilovers, bodykits, intakes, ect.) i always see honda. i feel like im in a bad episode of the Import Bunch...HONDA HONDA HONDA!!! i look at all those mags im no affraid to admit it, but they always end up doing the same thing becoming a trash can liner after about 10 minuites our searchin high and low for somthing on, about, or for nissan. its just not worth the money or the eye strain on those shiny paged bundles of honda advertisements. and be damned the one who said that the 240 is turning in to the next civic! Hes a very bad man...very bad *sigh* i wish i could find some good reading material that doesnt send me in to a honda bashing frenzy.WoW i feel better after getting that off my chest, thank you who ever started this thread.

If you don't like a thread, then don't read it? Not to sound like an ***, but that's quite the hypocritcal statement if you ask me...

Each magazine is going to go after a certain type of reader. I don't think Super Street is seriously going to try and compete directly with SCC. At least not right now. SCC's technical information is much better than any magazine currently out right now. It helps when you have engineers writing articles. Super Street seems to be more of the show scene writers. And yes Ricky Chu from Super Street does have a S14.5 Silvia with S15 motor. But it's more of a show car than anything. There is another guy I know that is associated with Super Street that has a SR powered S14. I'm not sure if he still writes for them.

Super Street has given plenty of press about the 240's. Though it's a bit biased towards JDM.

While advertisements do grace the pages heavily, think about it. They are a business. They need to pay their bills and more importantly, themselves. It's a small price to pay to keep from having to pay an extraordinary amount for the magazine.

As far as Hondas, well, again, they are a business. And unfortunately, they have to try and market their magazines towards a larger audience. This makes them more money. Personally, I don't hate Hondas as much as I hate what people do to them. They are good car, but perhaps overrated by most. But to all their own...

You better start looking now . . and unless you want to do some work and buy one thats "down" your gonna pay lots.

When I was looking for one I could hardly find one and the ones I did find the owners/lots wanted a **** load for em.

Eventually I found one for 800.00 perfect condition just no head. 800 more later it was up and running perfect

the only one a buy regularly is SCC. ill buy turbo if i see something good in it. (the turbo SE-R article was good. would definately incorporate some of what they did to their car on a 240).

super street and import tuner blow. the reason why you dont see many engine mods in europe is becuase in most european countries (all EU countries except for the UK and Germany) ANY engine mods are illegal - even a K&N. Germany and the UK do allow mods but the car has to pass TUV in germany (mostly to check for brake upgrades and to make sure you have a rollcage - you have to have both with even a modest power increase) and MOT in britian (same as TUV just british)

Why would you hate on something youv'e been buying by the stacks??

All of you are probably just like me, I have a huge stack of magazines on my closet floor.

Who cares who publishes it, if you get ideas from them, or can find usefull products in them, that is what justifies their existence. Don't hate.

There should be a magainze devoted solely to the 240sx. That would be nice. Or I'd even settle for a print magazine all about Nissan. NissanperformanceMag.com is nice, but it should be in print.

It just seems like everwhere i look honda is in the spotlight, articals, show pics, upgrades, even in real life everywhere i look theres a ricer here or a stock there, theyer everywhere! more ricers then not. maybe i just dont like what people do to them like C-Kwik said, and insted of blaming it on the people, i blame it on the cars. like if it didnt have all those options then it would turn out to look like that or somthing. i dont know.

Actually, I blame the people more than the cars. Hondas make good cars. Ricers make bad owners. It makes Hondas look bad. And frankly, even here in California where a modded civic is a dime a dozen, there are plenty more that are for the most part untouched. You just don't notice them since they blend in. A Riced out Honda will certainly get your attention more than a stock one. But I guess that's what the owner wanted. Not sure if they realize that the attention they get might be negative...
