Well... I had a run in with a kitchen knife and I am currently waiting for this to heal so I can effectively use my left hand again...

Image

Until that happens, I am painstakingly trying to locate the bolt holes of the vk oil pan so I can get a flange cut but it's proving to be a pain in the a**. Getting proper measurements off the pan is a pain. I'm going to work on a solution tomorrow though. We will see how it goes.

Drawing is only for the holes, the lines are there to get the x/y coordinates. They will be deleted once I have the holes in the right spot.

Haha yeah, trying to avoid getting stitches. It keeps wanting to separate so I'm just chillin for a bit till it heals up. Grinders don't treat cuts well and I have a lot of cutting, grinding and welding to do.

Thats what i did when i cut my finger.. its still painful but you can move it around and work. I'd be too excited to just sit around and look at my car. and Hey its what superglue was made for in WW1! lol

the easiest was to get measurements from something like that is to get a set of calipers and take the measurements from the inside of the holes, then add the diameter of the holes to that distance. And do that all the way around until youre back to the beginning...its hard to explain without pics, so i dont know if you get what im saying.

Yeah I'm getting a set of calipers this weekend. I can get the linear ones the problem is the off set ones. I have an idea though that I'm going to work on this weekend.

Well... here is a small update...

I got the power steering pump and alternator put on the block and test fit it. Turns out the stock location for the power steering pump is NOT gonna work out. It hits the frame. I'm going to try to relocate it to the driver side but I am worried about the amount of belt contact I will have if doing that. I have some brain storming to do.... on to pictures:

Poorly put together panoramic of the shop..

So far a S13 Coupe, 280Z, Talon TSI, Grand National, Z31, S13 Hatch.

The other day I helped my roommate put a Stillen intake and Cat Back on his G37.

That's all for now. Will update when I figure out what to do with the PS pump.

Well I pulled the motor back out and pulled the pump off. I was going to work on the mounts but my drill ran out of juice so I went ahead and cut and re-welded my shift linkage.

And then I put the motor back in to see how it sits.

Major thanks to Rev-Em-Hard/Chris Vallet for the idea!

I was making the mount plates from 1/8th in plate but I think I'm gonna step it up to 1/4 in.

I'm still alive, just have been crazy busy with school, formula sae and working on other peoples cars.

Okay so I'm looking into standalone options. I have been looking into the Vi-Pec as well as an AEM universal.

I'm also looking into the Performance Electronics PE3.

Any other suggestions? Not gonna lie I don't know much about the topic but I'm researching.

Hey guys, sorry for no updates. The project is still going but is on hold since I have moved from Tennessee to Alabama for a job. I moved into a house here in Alabama with a 2 car garage so I brought my daily driver which is a 1994 Miata "r package" and my other little project which is a 1985 RX7 lovingly titled the "Hooptie". Since I couldn't work on my S13 I have been fooling around with the hooptie.

Here is what I have been up to...

Here is what it looked like when I got it:

Image

Image

The car was originally a 12a car but had a rebuilt street ported 13b swapped in with a holly 465 carb that I'm still trying to get to run right.

Image

So I got some adapters to run my wheels but the wheel studs stuck out past the adapters so I had to do some grinding then reinforcement:

Image

Image

Which let me do this:

Image

So the suspension was feeling kind of old so I got some new struts and bushings and got to work:

Image

Image

Then one night some alcohol and spray paint got mixed and this happened:

Image

Then I moved:

Image

I got bored one day and decided to clean up some of the rusty spots and started with the radiator duct:

Image

Which expanded to the front piece and the vent piece in front of the windshield:

Image

Then the Hooptie got naked cuz it heard the bishes love it:

Image

Image

Image

Image

And more painting happened:

Image

Image

Then I test fit the parts to see what they would look like. Nothing bolted here:

Image

Then I took the parts back off and set them in a pile of shiny:

Image

Then went back to painting:

Image

Image

Stripping the door aka pita:

Image

And painted hood:

Image

Then 100+ degree weather hit and I had to wait for it to cool down, so that is where I am at with that...

THEN....

This is coming towards the end of the week:

Image

So that combined with moving and new job is why updates are slow on this thread... Once I find a shop down here to rent I'll be moving the 240SX down to finish up the swap. I think you guys will like the plan I have...
