I use ATF and acetoneRazi wrote:My hubs were on a bit tight when I was doing my 5 lug swap.
First I sprayed Liquid Wrench on the hub, then I aimed my breaker bar down onto the hub and started hammering down on the bar until the hub spun.
Then I spray some Liquid Wrench on it and keep spinning it until it pops out.
lol yea that's the purpose of trying to get it off.NismoZRS wrote:ohh s*** you know what thats means... time for 5 lug conversion!! sup sup??
So you hammer down onto one of the 4 lobes that are for the bolts? Didn't think of that but I'm not sure how much more effective that would be but I'll have to try it.Razi wrote:My hubs were on a bit tight when I was doing my 5 lug swap.

They're lighter too! That's what I wanted to do but then I would've had to buy new suspension before I could drive it so I didn't go that route.Spiffy240 wrote:wow, i avoided this by just swapping out my whole rear uprights for a 300zx aluminum upgright along with 300zx rear 5 lug hubs, brakes, and brake lines
a little more pricey but SOOOOO much better than my crappy old 240sx brakes.Paired with 30mm front brakes and 300zx bmc and booster, omg its amazing the stopping power.
lol yea that's the first thing I did. I would feel soooo salty if I hadn't. Good lookin out tho.maj Andres wrote:Did you undo the four bolts in the back? No one has mentioned this
Yep, it gets things loose and makes it easier to pull out the hub.jeb1517 wrote:

I might just get a 22mm deep socket and remove the knuckle and take it to NAPA to get the hub pressed out. That seems like the most promising solution at this point.
ATF + acetone has SO MUCH more Penetrating power i used a DROP and it breaks thru boltsRazi wrote:Acetone + ATF works just as, if not better than, PB blaster.
Liquid Wrench is a similar product.
Yea man, they are lighter its amazing when I took off the stock ones and put the new ones on how much of a weight difference there is between the whole rear knuckle, brakes, hubs, and all. I love my setup paired with KTS Coils. I would highly suggest in this route. Its a lot more money, but so worth it in the end especially if you plan on going coils. For myself, i massed all my parts during the summer and the last 2 weeks i and a buddy installed everything and tweaked it to work perfect.jeb1517 wrote:
