searching for a decent 240 is frigging impossible!!!!!

I found the sweetest deal TWO days ago... I posted about it earlier, a LE with 95k and all that, and he only wanted like $2000 for it. I get my money together, call back today and what? IT SOLD A HALF HOUR AGO!!!!

This has friggin happened to me so many times now I cant stand it... as soon as a good deal goes on the market it gets snatched up in a matter of days, usually right out from under me. ARRRRRRRUGH

yeah it took me six months to find a decent 240. i still had to settle for mine. i bought a base model, i wanted a se but no biggie...

i found mine in like a week, i wasnt even really looking to buy a new car, but i found such a sweet deal i couldnt pass it up 91 se coupe w/ 130k in pristine condition (cept the usual driver's seat tear) for 1600.

My friend got his for like 1300 haha had 210k miles on the stock SOHC and we swapped it to the DOHC out of mine when I got my SR. I got ripped on mine and paid like 4k boo hehe. Oh well **** happens.

yea, NY is where its at, i see about, literally 20 240's a day, and on my way to school, i pass 4 for sale, theres a crapload of them here:eek:

hell yeah I'll drive. anywhere in the northeast if it's worth the drive. I've been looking for at LEAST 6 months.... Ill drive for hours and hours and hoooours if the car is nice enough and the price is decent. know of any good deals?

haha, my 240 had been in a lot for months and the day i go to pick it up, it was gone, they said a wholsaler bought it an hr. ago. luckily he hadnt picked it up yet and they called him and he let them keep it and sell it to me.

I know exactly how you feel fiz... I'm in the same situation. I've been looking for 4 months now for *the* 240 of my future. Lots of promising stuff, but nothing's worked out thus far.

We'll get our cars eventually, though the sooner the better

There is a SWEEET 91+ SE hatch across the street from my work. From what I can see, it looks very, very clean. I told my buddy to go look at it. They want 3500 and it's HICAS.

I found mine in less then 2 weeks but then got my license suspended 2 weeks later and couldn't drive it for 4 months so needless to say i was pissed.

That used car dealership is about a 20 minute drive from my house. Looks nice in the pictures but the lack of a state inspection sticker on it would concern me. It implies the dealer may have picked it up cheap at an out-of-state auction or perhaps it doesn't pass PA's inspection, which has a pretty strict emissions test. But if you change your mind about red hatchbacks, I know where there's a nice one for sale.

he shows up after work, i find a 240 on the net, we leave and buy it.

Its a fixer-upper but i guess i got lucky

Dude I know how it feels. I wnated one when I turned 16, well four years later I finnaly get my 240. It's a '91 SE coupe 5spd, no ABS, HICAS, LSD, Sunroof (thank God),But it does have power windows, mirrors, and locks. Cloth Interior, the outside is a little ruff but I used to be a painters helper at a body shop so thats no big deal to me. I paid $2800 with taxes and all. So good luck man, you'll find one soon.
