I am the original owner of this car. This year I am not able to pass DEQ my car is running too rich. The o2 sensor has been replaced, everthing has been checked out by NIssan and they cannot get the car from running so rich. Dose anyone have any ansers to this problem. The tecs at Nissan are all young and have not worked on a car this old. Especially a 240sx not that many around. My car only has 116,000 miles. Please I need some answers

Yes it is stock. Nothing has been done to it except had a halter replaced in it this summer. Nissan has tried everything from what they say. They cannot get it to not run so rich. I think the problem is that the tecs that are working on it are not familiar with a car that is this old. I was told by the manager that they don't have any of the old tecs that were familiar with this car. Have you any ideas what could be causing this. I don't want to go somewhere else because I have allready spend quit a bit of money. If you have any idears in this area that I could pass on to them to try. I went through this 10 years ago and had to go to another shop to have them fix the problem , but they have gone out of bussiness since then. I need some help. I know there are special ajustments that they did last time.

Thanks

I would say look into your fuel pressure regulator, it may be sticking causing too much pressure. Also, check the spark plugs, if one of them is blacker than the rest, then you have to suspect an injector failure. Another easy thing to try, is cleaning the mass air flow sensor using some electrical parts cleaner.
