I'm nearly finished on replacing a bent rod in my q. Reading the manual it goes over bleeding the lash adjusters. The only problem is the torx head bolts on the cam caps. It seems like I will be in for alot of problems stripping them, to remove and replace. Is there a good solution to this issue? When I removed the head I never removed the rocker arms so I'm not sure that I need to check them, any input would be great.

I know this was in another post but I could not find it.

Wiggle the rocker arms and if they move more than 1MM then you need to bleed the Hydraulic Lash Adjusters. I hear you on those stupid torx bolts that Infiniti used and You just need to find a good bit that won't break to get them out.

Im more worried bout the bolts stripping, I went and got a good tool. But after the second cap the bolts started to strip, so I stopped.

If you don't make too much of a mess you can try a 50/50 mix of Dextron ATF and plain nail polish remover: breaking-loose-rusted-bolts-a-tip-t440010.html

Here is the part number for the bolts from Infiniti: 13058-60U00- and they go for $2.00 MSRP.

any consensus on the easiest way to remove the stripped bolts? The formula worked great but did still have a few that didn't want to come out

You can use pliers along with the ATF/Nail polish formula. Or you can also get a drill bit made to remove stripped bolts, screw...
