Great info Cracker.

I highly recommend anyone doing track days fully bleed the system before each event. --it might be a little anal, but I find it very effective.

Anal may be my middle name also ....I do a brake flush before any track weekend .I dont use expensive fluid.I use a wynns dot 4 fluid and a wynns brake flush machine .Before the shop I run had wynns ...I used BG and their dot 4 fluid. There is an immediate ,noticeable change in the pedal heighth and much improved stopping characteristics after this .I have never boiled the fluid nor have I had a problem with outgassing.

Then again I guess it is a definite advantage to be a repair tech at a dealership and have access to all of the equipment and supplies for little to no money out of pocket!!

The thing Ive seen the most about brake fluid is that fresh fluid is happy fluid for the most part.
