I think only HP will be selling them through their website, I don't think any retailers will receive any more inventory. They haven't officially announced that yet, but that seems to be what the plan is at least.

From what I can tell, HP is also using the next/current production run to replenish their supply chain. It appears that some etailers oversold their stock (due, in part, to software issues that weren't reporting warehouse stock correctly) and HP is producing more units so they don't have to cancel orders. I have one of those outstanding orders, so I hope this is true. It hasn't been canceled yet, so I'm hopeful.

It's amazing that the Touchpad has something stupid like 15 simultaneous touch point support!

Certainly nice. As with keyboards, I'd rather wonder how the Hell I'd ever push that many buttons at once than why the Hell I can't crouch and aim and sidestep and reload all at once when I need to. Stop beeping at me Windows, I'm trying to kill stuff.

Tigerdirect just had a limited supply of each in stock (bundled with the dock/keyboard). I had one in my cart, but the site shxt the bed before I could get the order through.

Also, it looks like the Touchdroid team has disbanded and the CM team is all that is left working on the touchpad android port. Last I saw, the wifi was the last major remaining issue.

Figures.

HP sent my father-in-law an e-mail on Tuesday stating that they would be fulfilling his order, but it would be 6-8 weeks. At least he made the cut for who's going to get one out of the new batch. Hopefully they're not all junk.

I hope the CM team comes through on Android, they have had a lot more focus on the project thus far anyways IMHO. Team Touchdroid was making good progress too, but I guess somebody stole a juicebox or something and it all fell apart...

Looks like the CyanogenMod team are getting very close! I'm getting stoked now, looks like maybe another month tops at this point.

It's looking doubtful that the public will get their hands on those, from what i've read they're already all spoken for. They're using the next batch to fill backorders for customers that tried to buy during the fire sale :frown:

I'd keep an eye on Craigslist and see if anybody sells one at a reasonable price.
