Hows everyone's ride comfort?

I have the worst of all. Convertible... when top is up, it's really noisy. I also have a lot of pillow ball suspension parts with coilovers. Wind noise is terrible too, but once top is down, all problem solved. I just love it.

damn, yeahi bet a vert is noisy. i drove for 4 months with no door panels and most of the sound deadening removed and that was loud

Buy an energy suspension bushing kit, gut the car and replace sound deadening material, then replace the carpet. Get all new door, window, hatch/trunk, sunroof, etc... weatherstripping. then buy some kyb agx's, and maybe some springs. That will quiet the car quite nicely. Then, get rid of the Nismo mounts because they shake the hell out of the car and buy some stock mounts.

But seeing that your name is Jdrifter...I would stick with the nismo mounts.

Gut interior, sound deaden, retighten down everything

I used raammat

added a layer of closed cell foam ensolite

When I get this thing back together hopefully it sounds more like an infiniti than a entry level nissan.

There is truly nothing you can do to a 240sx to make it comfortable. No matter how hard you try. If you want comfortable, buy Lexus.

My car scares girls away, it hurts your back and kidneys to ride in any distance, you smell like gas afterwards, its usually searingly hot inside the car, and it gets 11mpg because it isn't tuned. God I love it.

So true, last time i took a buddy for a ride in my car we cruised around a corner he hears my 2-way then smells the exhaust due to no cat then hes like "this car sucks man" i said i know i love it

The biggest complaint right now is the squeek coming from my rucas and an annoying vibrate I get from somewhere in the rear of the car when I slow down. Everything else I can tolerate.

Ya unless you want to spend some money, you'll have to get used to it. Every s13 i have ever been in is like that, but i don't mind.. i like the wind in my face and the being able to hear my motor lol

i told that to my employes when i had my 3 inch exhaust and they said i was crazy

Hmm, I daily drove my s14 for years and it never really bothered me.

Very stiff coilovers. pillow ball everything. exhaust. bucket seat. no air conditioning.

another day another rattle, its the life of a s-chassis.

the vibration are what gets to me, i cant stand them..

comfort sucks but driving experince makes up for it all

theres definitly alot you can do i have a daily driver s13 w/ black top sr20 and goodies... first make sure the (aftermarket) exhaust isn't touching the tow hook that causes alot of extra vibration. also w/ aftermarket exhausts some brackets hit the diffrential, fix that as well... as stated above insulating with dynamat or sound proof material works well. and fixing ratttles isn't very hard. I also have s15 final edition seats, and my s13 is hella comfortable i drive alot everyday and don't have any problems... only complaints i have is my clutch is sorta heavy and after long driving... my foot starts to hurt lol

my ride feels good to me. its a stiff but still rides nice. as far as the engine noise goes i love it!

Well, im goona strip interior and lay down b-quiet, and spray that rubber coat things see if it will do me any good. But the REAL REAL problem i have right now is The one weird nosie that upsets me is a "kinda like rubbing two keys together, or jiggling 2 keys"(ding ding ding ding) noise everytime my motor revs up to 2500, or higher.... and i cant figure out where the hell thats come from. any suggestion?

Well, mine still makes that sound....I never looked into it because as far as i care, if the car still starts and drives i dont give a shaith. But a friend said most likely timing chain. Bottom line, telling by your username you have intentions to drift this auto-mo-bile.....your car is a tool, not a luxury car, keep that in mind.

I got cusco mount, way stiffer thannismoEverything virbrate/rattle in my carPop up headlight, sunroof, rear hatchRear tag used to rattle until I put a tissue behind itHood would sqeak cuz the frame was seperate from the top shell ( replace hood )

I got strip interior but the road noise don't bother meI got megan racing seat,no problem with them

i own a s13 with nismo mounts and its still comfortable. I mean a rattle hear and there specially in low rpm's but its not all that bad

Unless you guys have 8kg, and 10kg coilovers than you have nothing to complain about.

It feels like I am riding on steel rods welded in substitute for struts.

Ride comfort is mostly horrible... but that's because there's barely any decent roads here.

No lie, the most comfortable ride in Puerto Rico was my '86 F-150. It just floated over everything.

my 240 makes me miss my lexus sc300... but then i think about how i now get 27mpg instead of 20mpg, and how parts on the 240 are so cheap.

i still miss my sc300 tho..
