I was going to see how fast I could go in like a given amount of road way from a stop and I would see how fast I could do it in my G. and See how close it is...
And I called and told the guy to have a loaner ready so i was freaking pissed cuz they ran out of loaners!

I think it is because some do not understand how the automobile service operation functions as a business.Poyzinous wrote: I hate it when some of you guys say stealership. makes me feel hated or outcast. I've been working at a dealer for 4 years. Best job I've ever had. Big difference between the independent shops I've been at. why do you call it a stealership?
The point I was making is that if I knew someone wanted to run my new car through its paces, one that I really need to be able to sell to others, others that I will in turn have to support in the way of warranty work and so on, that I probably would not loan my new hot car out to them.Tampa G35 Sedan 6MT wrote:yea that would be my luck...
But they called me today and said they had a loaner for me... I Really like this g37... Has lots of power and the new trans is really great!
But i still like to row my own gears..
I will await the day that we get a 8 speed manual!

Well that is certainly true. However I do not understand how an oil change using the Nissan Ester oil can cost me $200 at an Infiniti dealer (quoted in Fife, Washington) and only $100 at a Nissan dealer (Olympia, Washington)? So far I have been treated well in Fife for warranty repairs, however I still have to consider the economics of driving 60 miles round trip more and pay $100 for the same quoted service.telcoman wrote:

Factory training and equipment is expensive.
Although independent shops may be a little cheaper they often use cheap parts and do not have the same level of training that one finds at a dealer.
I learned a long time ago you usually get what you pay for.
Buy cheap, buy twice

I've noticed the difference between our 05 G35 and the 08 G35 loaner!Especially when it shifts into 2nd!!! I'm now wanting to replace it with a G37....Tampa G35 Sedan 6MT wrote:

Well you did go in with one that has some mods? Also if I were a large dealer or above I would be watching for post like what was above in major forums, since in reality any repair that could cost me money that could be avoided would be a wise thing to watch for.Tampa G35 Sedan 6MT wrote:perry,
They didn't know that is what I wanted to do lol.... Im not going to go to the service tech and say... Oh great you got a new g37 for me... I am going to see how fast it will run at the track this week... So what do you think it will do in a 1/4 mile lol
But I know what you are saying...

An example of this is that many health insurance companies such as HMOs do in fact watch support groups for various expensive procedures. For example a patient who misrepresents his status as a smoker and a leukemia patient. If you were applying at a hospital that relies on large amounts of funding your success rates get you the funding and the success rates for smokers are less than that for non-smokers. I have no reason to believe that other industries don't do the same.
