how to understand fault codes

Hello,

Based on some previous posts I figured out how to see the fault codes on my '04 G35x. In short, a few days ago the VDP Off, the SLIP and SES lights all came on, and my car seemed to drop into Limp Home Mode... I turned the car off, and restarted, and the SES light remains.

Anyway... The code I see are (and this is my question - do I understand this correctly...)

Flashes are: 2, 1, 3, 5, then 10 (slow) and a pause...

Then 3, 10 (fast) and six, then a pause...

Then it repeats...

I guess the 2135 is the TPS sensor... but what is this other code? (the "3, 10 (fast) and six, then a pause" - what is this? Am I misunderstanding what this is telling me?

Does 10 fast or slow mean something different? Does "10" mean "P"?

I tried using an OBD-II tool, but couldn't get it to return the codes. The tool worked on a friend's car a week or so ago, so I assume it does work.

I just couldn't get it to do anything - at first I thought the codes cleared themselves, but assuming I wasn't hunting jackalopes I think the flashing patterns meant something.

Further... does the 10 flashes mean "zero"

so the 3, 10, 6 pause 2, 1, 3, 5, 10 pause really mean, 0306 and 2315?

Thanks for the info. I'll do what I can based on what I see here, but this may be time for me to bring it in...

Two other times the car seems to have stalled (may have been limp mode) giving me the lights mentioned above. This is the first time I (knew how to and) collected the codes...

I guess I'll wait for it to happen one more time and see what is reported.

I've seen some reports for new TPS/Throttle bodies being pretty pricey. Hopefully it was solar flares...
