What if you use rb25det injectors and fuel rail on a rb20det?

I have an idea, but it may be a bad one.

Ok. It was just a thought. Perhaps I should talk to you about a rom tune

I'll look up your IM address later so as not to threadjack too much.

Seeing as how the RB25DET uses sidefeeds and the RB20DET uses topfeeds that would be difficult.

Just get bigger topfeeds silly I hope he gets some resolution of this situation, either some money back or complete refund. This sort of stuff deserves an old-fashioned beatdown.

the same EXACT situation happened at a local shop here, turned out to be the engine importers screw up. Supposedly the shop didnt know the differences and just went by what they said. Still, youre doing an RB swap you should be able to tell what motor it is...

I'll do you one better, if you are selling someone something you should know what it is! What's the progress on this, any good news?

you all forget about the RB25, which can be fit with all rb20 parts. one way to be sure is look at the number stamped on the head (front exhaust-side next to exhaust runner #1). this picture is off my RB25DE head. another way to know for sure is pull the head and measure the cylinder bore size.

what the hell are you thinking!??! why buying something you have no i f'n idea about?!?!?!?! dont just look at the valve cover and call it as that!?!? what if i put a 2jz valve cover on and sell you the car for $30k????? where's all the common-sence, geez!

I think some boltholes wouldn't line up Common sense is not common these days unfortunately. I suggest we drop the "common" from "common sense" and replace it with "good". "good sense" implys the idea without the false promise of widespread possesion of it.
