Actually Ken block seems like a pretty cool guy who has some good luck and an aggressive marketing team...
Driving race cars is fun... I know I have gone to eco car conventions and talked up "going green" in search of funding... I sure as hell would wear dumb glasses and put out slo motion drift videos if there was serious money behind it, can't blame the guy.

Ken Block fanboys can eat Loebs french pen15, I hate "rally fans" who only know that Petter is a champion in his WRX and Ken Block is an amazing driver.

This video is definitely one of the cooler ones though, playing with gravity/banking is was really awesome, and must have been interesting to get used to.

Thats kinda an unfair question. We all know Tanner and the type of person he is from Top Gear and other shows and events. We dont really know anything about Block besides the fact that he is a great drifter and every under aged boy loves him...He may be a cool guy, He may be a complete ***hole thats full of him self :gotme

No, it's fair. Block is not a hermit. Tanner is only slightly better known because of Top Clone.

Love to see any of the haters drive anywhere close to that. :yesnod ... probably the same kind of people that stop listening to a band when they get popular, hence "sell-out". Jeezus, just enjoy the drive! :dblthumb:

Foust is a professional rally/drift/stunt driver who is also a cohost of the US clone of Top Gear.

I agree. I'm working on his show right now, and he noticed I was wearing DC shoes so he brought in 9 pairs for me. Free stuff is awesome. I thought the least I could do was give the guy some positive publicity here on NICO.

Hooray for free stuff!

I'm all for Ken Block and DC if it means free stuff.

Not saying I will go do it tomorrow... But with as much set time as that guy gets, and as many takes as they use for those videos it is not anything outside of the range of MANY decent amateur drifters.

Uhhh, Ken has had plenty of out of car camera time and has done quite a few interviews.

He is a pretty down to earth guy who definitely shows that he realizes his situation. Can't say what he is like on a Tuesday afternoon but at least from how he portrays himself he seems genuine and humble.

^This.

Ken Block in an incredible business man and is probably (I say probably because I haven't met the guy in person nor have I seen how he acts under a more candid spotlight) a nice person.

Ken Block, personally, doesn't brag about how good he is nor does he parade around saying he is the best driver in the world. It's all the viewers and the fanboys that take his media to the next level and rank him next to God. Ken Block could care less about what people think of him just as long as his marketing mission is accomplished; and that is for people to think of him and the DC brand. I think everyone can agree that he has most definitely accomplished that task.

Very impressive and another example of why I think Rally drivers are the most skilled in the motorsports realm.

This is pretty sick too.

Truth.

Block is a cool guy, I have met him, and chatted with him a little at Rally Events. He could easily be just another car guy. He just happens to have stupid amounts of cash.

This may be true for much of the stuff on the videos, but there are certain aspects that are incredibly difficult. The boxed in pin turn is impressive. I dont car how many times you try, most people will never have that kind of car control. Ive watched him perform on rally stages, and his abilities show. There are no second takes in rally.

I could do the spinning around the segway trick. I used to shut up the drift punks who thought I didn't drift because I had no skill by coming to a cone, sticking the car down a gear, resting my right hand the cone through the window and spinning around a few times.
I would like to try several of the tricks, but it would take hours of practice for some of the most boring ones he does in this vid and most are not anything I would attempt in a car that I cared about. The spinning around in the box, I gotta tap out. I don't think I could ever pull that off.

Did everyone notice he smacked the wall hard when he first turned on to the track? BANG!
