Seems to me that you have some research to do. Search online and on these forums, and check out peoples builds. Do some reading, searching, and really take it all in. You have way to many questions to even tell you where to start. You need to be at the track seeing what times people run. Google searches, etc... DO some research. Cant build it or make your decisions for you sir.

Go to the top of the page. There is a flashing search button. Click it and search. You say you have no knowledge. Well, unfortunately this isnt 240sx university, we cant teach you every aspect of drag racing and tuning. Your best bet is to check out peoples build threads and see what people are doing to make power. 13's with 5g's isnt impossible, but, if you have no clue what to buy, then how can anyone help you. You need to do some research and figure out by reading and coming up with options on your own. We cant build it for you is what I am saying. And I would certainly never hand a car and 5g's over to a shop and say "I wanna go 13's". Like I said before, you are gonna need to do some research as to which engine you wanna go with, suspension, brakes, etc... We cant choose them for you nor do I have the time to type out a description of every aspect of a 240sx and drag racing. Are you alright?????

YOU won't. With certain questions, the simple fact that you have to ask, means NO.

13 isn't very fast. Just a 50 wet shot of nitrous and you should be able to run 13. Just find yourself a manual 240, gut all the weight you can out of it, put some sticky tires on the back, and give it some nitrous. If you don't know how to tune, and need to stick to a budget don't go turbo. edit: oh, and weld your diff. That way you'll have maximum traction off the line.

Makes it so the rear is locked up constantly. Both wheels will always be pulling. Not recommended for street use.

Basically, you'll want to open the diff, and then weld the gears together. Works like a charm.

Actually, now that I take my nose out of the air over your incredulous inquiry, hitting 13's shouldn't be that hard w/$5000

Get a 5spd s13 with a ka in good condition.piece together a t28 turbo kit & aim for 10 psi with a good tuneget some sticky tiresgut your interiorweld your diffdone.

Be aware though, this bare bones/cheapskate approach will result in a sh***y car that runs 13's. You probably won't want to daily drive it.

you can build a drag s13 with 2jz and auto trans for under 5k, that should get you into the 13's. add a wet shot and you'll be in low 13's. which is still really really slow. lolz
