Question....My rear wheels are not as wide as I would like them to be. Now they are 275/35/19 and the rim is 10inches wide, so thats good, but it doesn't fit on the car as wide as I would like. Ok looking at the rear wheel I want the top part of the tire to be even with the top part of the fender, and the bottom of the tire to be sticking out a little. Right now the entire wheel is all inside the fender. I will submit a picture after I get off work......any suggestions ?

You can run a 10-15mm spacer on the rear of the G Coupe with no adverse effects.

I recommend a bolt-on hubcentric unit such as the ones made by Ichiba, which you can get throuh our sponsor Intense.

Not so great for your wheel bearings to go too radical, but 10-15mm is no biggie.

I ran 25mm on all 4 corners on my G for about 6 months and it looked great.

No need for alignment, if yours is set to specs. All you're doing is pushing the wheels out away from the hub.

I know what will fix ur problem. Lower ur car, that'll show you how wide your wheels really are. I recommend eibach pro kit springs. They ride better than stock. My wheels are 18x10" wide in the back.

dont really want to lower car, as i am an every day driver, plus my wife might drive once a week, and dont want to get pissed at her for scratching the front bumper...

I saw that the 25mm spacer will push the wheel almost an inch........im wondering if I will even be able to see a significant difference ? it doesnt seem like I will, anyone have any insight to this ? for the money, id rather have a Pop charger............

An inch wider stance all the way around makes a HUGE difference, it's VERY obvious.

well, just went out and measured the difference from the face of the tire to the inner wall of the fender and............there is no difference !! so my question now is : will the rear tire ever hit the fender ? It looks as though if i add a 20mm spacer that would put the tire dir3ectly under the fender and I have 4 people riding in the car and hit a bump on the highway, will the tire rub the fender ?

Quite possibly, yes.

A fender roll to get a flush fitment might be in order.

HOWEVER, you're overlooking the effects of increased camber upon suspension compression.

As your rear drops, the top of the wheel moves IN towards the center... It "cambers in" and tucks into the wheelwell.

Therefore, sometimes when a car looks like the tires will hit the wheelwell, in reality, they wont, because of the arc the wheel travels in.

I would venture to say the cheapest and easiest solution would be just some small 15mm spacers....

The expensive solution would be find a new set of rims that have the offset you're looking for.

Ouch, not cool.

Although, I think that IS the discounted price....

Seems you might want to get a little more focused on what you want to do with the car first... It's a lot easier than just throwing parts at it. Your wheel / tire combo is fine, and will look great with some 10mm spacers on all 4 corners....

Try talking to Darren at Intense Motorsports. I have purchased tons of stuff from these guys on the internet and they have been the nicest people to do business with that I have come across. Give a call and I am sure they can do something for you.http://www.i-m-racing.com/index.html

The width of your rims is immaterial if the offset is too positive. With 10" rims you probably needed an offset close to 0

Not quite..

a +20 offset is considered flush on the G35 and a +15ish is "Agressive"

My wheels are 9.5 inches wide +20 and they are perfect!

I tried emailing you about your rims, but I never got a reply. Would you have gone with 19" rims if you did it over again? I want 18s for weight and tire selection, but most that I've seen on the coupes look pathetic. Yours look oddly good and I can't figure out why.
