I really, really *really* want to do that - but I have limited funds right now and cannot afford to even keep it anywhere - our subdivision does not allow 'junk' cars in the yards, even though our back yard is completely surrounded with a 6 ft wooden fence....

John, cant you get the car towed and then just buy a car cover and cover it up. Who will know its a damaged car? Besides the damage is bad but not irreversible. Post on craigslist or so to find a guy who will restore the vehicle for you. I found a great nissan enthusiast who works on cars, by posting in Craigslist. Who knows you might find the right person to do the job for you.

How much would you sell the car "as is" to me?

I'd come down and get it myself or maybe have a friend come get it. That way it'd be off your hands. Who is in possession of the title? I would buy it to fix it and put it back on the road.

Thanks for the offer, mudcat, and I received your email as well.

Redmanfx, I am not sure what would be legitimate to charge for this car as is, but I could sure use the money - I bought it for 10K last year and sank $3200 from August through September just prior to the wreck.

It'd be easier to sell the whole thing, but at the same time I would really love to get that audio system out of there and put it in my Maxima.... but with money I could get a *new* audio system, so....

Let's put this to the forum - what would be *fair* for the car in the condition that is currently is in? I will be taking detailed pics of the damage tomorrow (I got the hood up finally) so you can get a better idea of what needs to be done, including radiator support, radiator, lights, etc. Also, one of the 'retaining screws' that holds the lights in place was jammed back into the battery, piercing it and draining battery acid all over that right as well. If anyone has any requests for specific pics for me to take let me know, it is at my buddy's home jsut across the street from where I work.

No airbags depoloyed! Looks like a pretty hard knock almost dead on! That's a surprise...kind of makes me nervous as I have the identical vehicle.

I had one offer by email, for the entire car - but I would like to make more than that offer - however, I tried to contact two people here who asked about the entire car an one who asked about engine and transmission and have received no replies.

Redman, hit my email since min to you did not go through.
