I straddled mine with both hands, stabbed it and after a couple of twists it went in. Just don't go crazy and ding it up. Are you trying to stab it by yourself or do you have someone to hold the engine?

What's the procedure you used? I opened the bleeder screw while someone pumped the clutch ten times and then I closed it while they held the clutch down. What did you do exactly?

Are you sure its a case of the lines not being bleed? After reading your thread I'm thinking this is your first time doing a transmission on a 240sx. Are you sure you got the clutch fork and throw out bearing aligned corrrectly? I once had the same problem and what had happened to me is the fork seperated from the bearing from using a worn out spring. Just an idea.

i just did a swap in my car and when i did the clutch i replaced the slave and master i also bought a stainless steel braided clutch line from enjku racing that goes directly from master to slave. it deletes the bleeder box and all that bs. and it makes bleeding the line very very easy. i do have a question did you make sure you were keeping the clutch res full when you were bleeding it???? if not thats your prob you still have air in the lines you gotta keep that full when bleeding. well thats my.02
