Does anyone know if the base models are prewired for power locks? Or atleast the actuators(not good with spelling)?

Anyone had any luck on finding wiring diagrams/instructions or anything on running the wires for the locks? Better yet is there somewhere we can just buy the wires and harness? I wouldn't mind adding one of those keyless entry kits now (seeing as the price is like $130) and that the heat/humidity has dropped here. Some instructions on removing the door panels would be great as well. Last car I worked on was a ford. That thing has scared me for life when working on anything inside a car now. It was like everything I touched in that ford fell apart on me and I was being extra gentle lol!

I thought out of curiosity I'd ask at the dealership about the power locks. Well after they got over the shock and horror that everything was manual the short answer was basically they didn't know. Although they would charge me at the very least $100 to figure it out then give me a quote! :rotfl

If only my credit would have allowed at the very start I'd have just bought an SL and been done with it lol Let this be a lesson to anyone that moves to a different country and thinks their good credit follows... no, for me at least it stays firmly anchored off the Irish coast! Although my credit right now would probably get me into an SL but would i really want to sell this, which I got such a great deal on for all the bits I'm missing? Actually yes, even just for the higher (hoping not static) quality seat materials lol

Front.... Top pin is lock, 2nd pin down is common, 3rd pin is unlock. ( I may have the actual pin locations wrong, but when you open the door up you will see, there are only 5 pins. The other 2 are used for trunk been a while since i was in the door.

Rear.. only has 2 pins... it's called a reverse polarity connection. top and bottom are used for lock and unlock. so you flip the wires to get it to lock and unlock.

These are all very common practices for alarm installers... the nice thing is that because the actuators are in our cars, it's just a simple wire run job.
how did I end up with 6 pins on my 2011 1.6? :(
