you can pretty much pay however you want.they usually send you a 6 month premium and you have the option to pay it in full or if you're broke you can pay per month.

sounds like your cost of being "independent" is a complete waste of money if you cant get a lower rate through your parents policy.

I sold my first Z years ago because the insurance was dang near as much as the car was worth, getting old does have a few advantages I guess, insurance cost is one fo the reasons a sports car isn't a good idea for a young driver

it also affects where you live. i live in the city (philadelphia) and $650 for my '91 na is better than my teacher pays for her '99 3 series. when you consider that im 17 and shes 55 it really puts it into perspective..

32 y/o - 2 speeding tickets and no accidents in 15 years

$84 a month - Full Coverage on my 91 N/A Liability only on my 99 Durango

Different Policy:

$500'ish annually for full coverage on my 06 Suzuki C50

Unless the car is paid for any premium over $200 is counter productive - the most I've ever paid was about $160 a month for just my Durango - It was still under financing and I was stationed in Miami.
