SR240SXT, edited by me Speed wrote:1. going from stock boost(7psi) with totally stock engine to 14 psi (I'm not sure that this is efficient with the stock IC, can someone elaborate on this please?) [Dont do it.]

2. Front Mount Intercooler [At 14 psi you'll get about 10-20rwhp]

3. Aftermarket Header [If you want to call it a header you can, there was a huge debate about this a long time ago. It can be called a header but should be referred to as a turbo manifold, exhaust manifold or manifold if your lazy. You wont get much out of this, maybe about 10 max (my guess)]

4. Aftermarket Downpipe, straight pipe, and exhaust [DP 10 max, straight pipe 5 max, exhaust 15 max.]

5. aftermarket pulleys [not enough to feel good, maybe a few hp will be freed up but spend your money elsewhere.]

6. T28 turbo upgrade. [T28 at 14 psi with the above mods could net about 260-290 rwhp, once again all my opinion.]

7. ECU upgrade [ECU upgrades are hard to get over here, most of the Japanese tuned ECU's have unknown tune specs and shouldnt be used. JWT can tune. Or you could switch to a piggyback like an ApexI Power FC, HKS FCon V, Greddy Emanage, etc...]

8. Put the money from the pulleys into Cams for an up to 25 HP kick.

As usual all numbers are pure guesses. Dont whine to me about whether you think they are off.

Hows that for answering questions. Now i'll let you guys continue to debate. Or in mightymouse0x case, whine.

mightymouse! i love the rotary! can we be best buds now or do i have to say i love domestics too? (i do, i dream of camaros every now and then). actually i skipped through bud's posts noting just his point by point answer format, i didn't see that he said what i said too, about the header. don't have to believe me, but do if you're the best bud i think u r. i don't actually know bud too well either, and although i respect his knowledge and etc, i don't think I'd be wiping his or anyone else's *** just for their post count/status. glad u don't let urself be put down easily, always a good quality. do you happen to port rotaries? i think it's the coolest idea since sliced bread. my friend is all into that, even though he only did a mild street port on his fc. i also dream of p-ported 14k red line turboed rotaries sometimes...then i wake up with wet bedsheets.

cyber, u wanna be real, be real. but i'm the reallest yo, fo sho. (that was lame i know)

sil80, i love the rotary too, had some money invested in a 95 fd3s it was perfect in and out, just looking at it looked like it came straight out of the factory. black with that yellowish tan leather interior. and only had 30k orig miles, and guess what only $20k. well didnt come up with the money in time and lost it (im still kickin myself). i had a pretty nice fc though, 92 turbo 2. it was white. i was into domestics originaly from friends, and then trailed off cause of loss of interest. i kinda strayed form the rotary scene cause of reliability issues. i needed something a lot more reliable. thought a 97 hyundai tiburon would, but had to replace the trans twice, 3 times if u include the stock one. what a money pit...anwyays off topic, IM me if you wanna talk about it some.

um, actually, I know this is long way out of the way and done with, but to say a t28 as an upgrade would be "minimal" is an understatement.

the bbt28 kicks the t25's *** - hard. i would recommend that as a definite upgrade (in combination with an EBC, exhaust, IC, and maybe injectors and an ECU)

Ryan, the E.T.'s don't lie - let's be honest with eachother - Brian runs like a full second faster than i do with that as his only mod different than me.

.... 300ZX LSD, 550cc's, AVC-R, Z32 MAFS...

The T28 is an upgrade, thats for sure... but there are more viable options for the price of that turbo, you can get a nice T3/T04E for less than that, but the price of a manifold and wastegate and yadda yadda are what stops everyone from getting one.

Yeah, it did kinda go down hill... I still think the BOV talk was clever, and funny. Maybe I'm just an idiot. Well I'm done with the thread now (no, really)

Peace.
