can a t25G efficiently produce? Sorry for such a general question, but I can't find a good answer. I'm thinking maybe 18psi?

I assume you mean "25G" and check on a DSM forum. Those turbo's are not traditionally ran on Nissan's as they usually use a different type of flange.

I was under the assumption that it was the stock turbo for an s13 SR. Not So? Then what is?

t25 is the stock turbo for the red top and black top motors. t28 is for the s14 notch top and s15 motors

IIRC T25s efficincy runs out around 14 or 15 PSI, anything more than that and your asking for a bunch of turbine blades to be scattered through your intake tract.

I've never heard of that effect. Does that really happen? I know for sure above 15 you'll be making a lot of pumping heat, increasing your intake temps, and not be making much extra power.

Yes it increases the heat, this heat coupled with the fact that the turbine is spinning much faster than it was ever meant to can quickly lead to the compressor wheel coming apart. Ive seen over boosted stock 1.8T turbos grenade from less than 10,000 miles of abuse.

Uh, yeah, 18psi is a terrible idea with a stock T25. There's absolutely no reason to boost above 14psi, you're just blowing hot air at that point and wearing your turbo out quicker.

I've seen turbine wheels vaporize as well from overboosting. It's interesting to pull a turbo off a mani and not see the turbine wheel anymore cause it melted and resolidified in the cat.

13 psi is about where you want to push a tired T25 to. 14 is doable, but you seriously comprimise the life span. 15 is just plain stupid and you will destroy that turbo post haste.

I believe that the t25g is the stock turbo on the later model avaneir sr20det. It has a gt-rs style intake and they were ball bearing center cartridges instead of journal bearing. But dont hold me to all of that. But i know that they have the gt-rs style intake housing. My friend has one from his swap in his g20
