how much is insurance for a 240sx? i dont think it would be too much, seeing how it's no longer in production and that it has a pretty weak engine (160 HP?). but, i'm 18 years old and still in school. plus it's a 2 door, so that might have something to do with higher costs. any one ?

im 16 and i pay 150 a month for full coverage, but just switched to liability and im only payin 80 a month( that is until these 4 tickets i just got go on my insurance) anybody have any idea how tickets affect insurance by the way, im aware that it raises it, but by how much exactly. The tickets were for no seat belt, 2 speeding tickets, and driving wihout headlights(dont ask, long story) if thats makes a difference

About $250 per year for my '89 S13, but I only keep liability/fire/theft on her because of the age the car, and it's not my only car.werd: HP and number of doors has nothing to do with it. There are a ton of factors that go into rates. Cars age, value, safety options(ABS, airbags, lojack), driver's age, gender/marital status, driving record (tickets/accidents), where you live, how far you travel to school/work, how often your model car gets stolen, how many policies with same company, good student discounts, driver school graduate, your deductible and the amounts of your coverage. It's a huge list, I could add more....Fortunately 240sx's are not considered sports cars and have a relatively low theft rate compared to other cars. Your rate will be less than if you tried to insure a Vette or Accord. Suffice to say you're in the highest risk group to an insurance company. Your best route may be to get added to your parents policy.

when i had my 97 civic coupe, i paid almost 2500 for 6 months. My dad has to put his name under that civic and my name was under his 94 caravan. Now i only pay like 150 bucks a month. I had 2 tickets btw....stupidest tickets ever. Those cops should be shot dead.

for full coverage it was 2400 a year, now it's 1400 with no comprehensive and high deductibles. i'm 20 with a 94 Q45. those are prices with good student discount and discounts for dual airbags and all the other safety stuff i have. my motorcycle is 217 a year, and i only paid 600 for it (it's a 1981).

I'm assuming that guy was wanting to know for a 240sx, but I don't have a 240sx so..

For a '92 Pontiac Sunbird SE I pay $30USD/month. This is only liability, AND I'm no where on the policy. The only person on the insurance policy is my mom. I didn't know this until a few weeks ago when I was looking it over. Eh, oh well. D:

She doesn't have a clean record either..Also I used to pay $28USD/month until she was driving my car one day and got a ticket for no seat belt. Before that's she's had speeding tickets in her car..
