As remarkable as Joe’s achievement is, it really highlights the fact that manufacturers publish recommended maintenance schedules for a reason; stick to them, and you may have a million mile car in your own garage.
Oh what a crock of s***. It's the maintenance done long
after warranty/scheduled maintenance expires that makes the difference. And scheduled maintenance covers, what, 10% of the million miles? How on earth can they give credit to it for the whole million? It's what you do to the car in the other 90% of the million miles that makes it. Stuff doesn't just never break again after the prescribed maintenance schedule ends.
