After a full tuneup and the use of the S-AFCII I get around 33 mpg on highway. Local streets, I'm not too sure about but I estimate I'm getting around 23 to 25mpg. This is on a s13 SOHC.

here's my tuneup list:- Bosch o2 sensor (my engine light did not come on but after I swapped this part my mileage was vastly improved)- 8.5mm Aurora Ignition wires (got it from PDM)- Nissan PCV Valve (Courtesy parts)- Nissan Distributor Cap (Courtesy Parts)- Nissan Distributor Rotor (Courtesy Parts)- NGK Iridium IX (local dealer)- Air Filter (K&N w/ cone adapter bought off ebay)- 300zx Fuel Filter (Courtesy Parts)- a whole lot of brake cleaner to clean my pulleys and front of the block (I dunno if that helped with my mileage but a black spot on my driveway later, she revved a bit faster ha ha ha)- Super AFC II w/ black face (local dealer)- and of course an oil change with this time a Fram X2 filter and Mobile 1

Here's the thing about the AFC, I was running a bit rich on the lower rpms under 3k, so I leaned it out a bit, about 4% for rpms < 3,000 (NOTE: will be different for your car most likely than not) and that improved my mileage about 3mpg for my 50 mile commute to school. If you're not willing to blow some serious $$$ for the AFC, by all means do the o2 sensor. I had great results with that one, the others were good too but not as monsterous an improvement like the o2 sensor was for me.

hope that one helps

I appear to be back to 200 miles for 10 gallons, I need to improve my mileage.

was looking at a review for a 95 240, averaged 20.8 mpg with automatic and 25.2 mpg with a 5-speed, another interesting piece of info: A base-model 240SX with the automatic transmission took 10 seconds flat to reach 60 mph...thats what i have, what a crawl.

man... I get like 120-140 miles (if I'm not flooring it all the time) on $10 of gas... which is (do some math...) just over 7 gallons.... 17mpg... wow.

We 90 240 owners all seem to get crappy gas mileage.

I only get 17 mpg driving on the highway.

Oh yeah. I just replaced mine recently and put in new spark plugs. Fuel econ improved dramatically, it's back to how it should be now, around 19/27.

I guess you guys already know this... but this is one way of getting the accurate miles per gallon.

Fill your tank and let the pump click.... reset your trip meter and after ur fuel falls really low, refill your tank completely.

Now you have the miles you have done and the fuel used (exactly used.. no estimates). Now all you need is a calculator.

And yeah my 90 240 sx gives me only 18-19 Miles.

Where and how do I check the O2 senser ?

To check the 02:

- Remove right side kick panel to access ECU (passanger side - by the right foot - 10mm bolts and a phillips screw IIRL)- Turn ignition to the on position- Turn the screw on the ECU fully clockwise (DO NOT FORCE THE SCREW PAST THE STOPPING POINT, HAND TOOLS ONLY)- Count to 5 - Turn the screw back to the original position (counterclockwise)- Start engine and allow it to reach operating temperature- Run engine @ 2000 rpms for 2 minutes under no load - The MIL should flash on and off more than 5 times every 10 seconds

* If the MIL doesn't flash on andoff more than 5 times check the 02 Sensor Circuit back to the ECU for continuity. If continuity exists the 02 sensor is faulty.
