Mods - Cut me a couple of days worth of slack here on this being in the wrong forum, I need the visibility to help plan this meet. Then we can move it to the Southeast meets section.

For those of you that were there, you know how great it was. 75 or so cars, and roughly 100 people throughout the day. We all had a good time last year, lets see if we can do it again.

The date is May 29th, 2005. It starts at 10.30 AM (I will probably be there earlier to reserve the pavilions.) And it will run till 5.00 PM.

The sponsor for this year is Tophat Performance. Please come check out Tophat and talk to mike and some of the guys from the shop for professional advice. They will be supplying food for the cookout. Bring a cooler of cold drinks (non-alcholic) to share.

There will be two horse shoe pits available for anyone that wants a beating. Also, for those bringing kids, there is a playground in upper overlook just for the little ones.

Camel/Chadd

Directions from 85:

85 to SR20 (Mall of GA).West on SR20 to Suwanee dam rd.Right on Suwanee dam rd to Buford dam rd.Left on Buford dam rd to Upper Overlook on the left.If you go across the dam itself, you have gone too far.

Directions from 400:

Exit 14 (SR20) go east towards Sugar Hill/Buford.Turn left on Market Place by the car wash on the corner.Dead end into Buford Dam Road and take a right.Follow Buford Dam Road all the way across the dam (approx 6 miles). When you get across the dam, go around the first curve and look to your right. Upper Overlook is a hairpin to the right and uphill. It will be a little hard to see from that direction since the sign faces the westbound lane. If you get to the Dam Store/Dam Good Food Restaurant, you have gone too far.

I am not going even though it is only 3.5 hours away from me!

It sucks being poor!

You know what sucks more then being poor? Being poor and not being able to go to the Nissan Meet!

It's off I-85 or 400 which ever you prefer, the dam is right in between the two. It is not far past the mall of GA. Let me know if you need any more help.Josh

It is at Lake Lanier and the Chatahoochee river. I hope that more people than this are going to show. Last year we had a ton of folks come out.

The date is official. Sunday May 29th. 10:30AM to 5PM officially. Tophat Performance will be sponsoring the event and supplying the food. I would suggest folks bring a cooler of drinks since nothing will be cold if we get it right before the meet.

Tophat and SEDA will be out in force. Tophat will have some cars there as well as some info about their shop.

Everyone say thanks to Mike Sims from Tophat for stepping up to make this a great meet.

The whole 240s_over_Atlanta crew will be there, same as last year.

For directions and information:http://lanier.sam.usace.army.m...n.htmUpper Overlook is where we will be.

More info: The pavilions cannot be reserved on a holiday weekend and are first come, first serve. I plan to get out there early (10 AM or so) to make sure we get a spot. Tophat will be there soon after. There are lots of trails, fishing spots, jungle gyms for the kids in the immediate area, so feel free to show up early.

One other thing, don't bother bringing alchohol publicly. It is not allowed in the park and will not be openly tolerated. They can pitch you out of the park for just about anything.

And no smokey burnouts allowed as well.

If anyone has any questions, shoot me an email at [email protected]

Gonna be a great day at the lake.

I am from this area as well. I live in Cumming.

If you want the pavilions, I guarantee someone will have to be there before 10:00. They fill up fast, and I mean fast.....
