It is possible that the fuel gauge is slightly different between all car
But I am more than willing to bet that chance are it is the gas station that you go to, or specific pump that you use, that has problem
I always go to the same station and use the same pump, and when it is 1/4 tank left, I always manage to put in 13 gallons.
But when I go out of state and to other gas station(same brand), still 1/4 tank, but I can put in 15 gallons. So there is definitely some problem with the pump, not the car

I don't always fill up at the same station, or pump. I've even filled up in two different states as well.

Daltonvol was telling me his experience with his car and how even in the RED, he seems to have at least 1.5 gallons left in his tank, to contrast my experience, which seems to be that my Rogue is bone dry when I'm in the RED. 1.5 gallons is a big difference and mine is consistent and he states his is also... So how many other Rogues run dangerously low on fuel when in the RED like mine seems to do? Or better yet, is there an inconsistency with some of the fuel systems in the Rogues from the factory? There seem to be a couple of people who have experienced what I've experienced, while the norm seems to be that most can't come close to 16 gallons on a fill-up.

Is it really that hard to understand that putting almost 16 gallons of gas into a 16 gallon tank when the gauge JUST touched the red is not "normal", especially when others are reporting different results? Or is it more important to tell someone how to drive their car?
Dude, chill. No one is telling anyone how to drive their car. They are advising that nearly running it dry can damage the fuel system. Car components can and do vary. This includes gas tanks. So a few people are "bone dry" just touching the red whilst others apparently have 1.5 gal. left. It's already been established through multiple posts in several different threads that the Rogue's fuel gauges are inaccurate, so for me this is a non-issue. The unanswered question is why do you insist on running it dry? If you think your fuel sensor may be faulty, have you approached Nissan about it?

Here's some food for thought...
Okay, first off the actual running low on petrol doesn't do your car much good, as there's lots of small bits of rubbish and particulates at the bottom of the tank which, if you let your car run much below a quarter full, tend to start working their way into the engine. Sure, there's a fuel filter but it doesn't stop everything (the fuel still has to get through after all)...

As well as this, as you run your car lower and lower on petrol and as the remaining petrol is sloshing around the fuel tank, there will be moments where there is no petrol actually reaching the fuel pump. As a result of this, the fuel pump will be running dry every so often. Though this isn't at first continuous, this does do it damage. Especially as fuel pumps actually heat up as they run dry so when you do finally run out of petrol, you'll be significantly reducing the life of your fuel pump...

Then once you run out of petrol and try to crank the engine, you'll be wearing out the spark plugs as there is no proper ignition - I believe when there is a lack of ignition some ECUs actually crank up the voltage a little (though I'm not 100% sure on this, and believe the practice varies between manufacturers).

Whether or not you do any actual damage to the actual engine I'm not sure about, but I'm pretty sure you do damage to the consumables (again such as fuel filter as it clogs up more, and spark plugs) and also to the fuel pump. For those reasons I voted yes as it still means you have caused some damage/additional wear.
