This is what some people don't understand, they praise whatever car they have, but when you own that car you won't wanna hate on it. My 94 Civic Si was a sweet ride - Clean, no rice, mild mods, reliable as all hell. If I was gonna sling hate, it'd be on rice (and EAV's: Ethnically Altered Vehicles).

I must say the only reason why Honda's are considered rice is only becuase the high volume of their products. Fortunately for us, there are not too many s14s or even s13s to rice out. But still for the money, I THINK a Honda is overated and overpriced.

I will hate on Nissans all day long. The hatred I am possible of you can't even fathom. There are many Nissans in which I just wanted to blow them up and put them out of their misery.

Hondas get a bad rap...there are COUNTLESS swapped and fast Hondas in my area. You honestly have to watch out who you roll up to. I've seen stock hatchbacks slammed on steelies that would kill a SR powered 240 EASILY. There are so many sleepers around me that you really just have to be accepting about gettin your as* handed to you by anything with an H on it.

Accord V6 stripped of all badgeing, swapped to single exhaust, running 150 shot...everything else stock. Kid went through three trannies because they "are under warranty". I can tell you about countless cars like this in my area.

With all that said, that pic is now tiled as my wallpaper.

I think ripping on hondas is just plain wrong. Ripping on rice is one thing, ripping on the manufacturer is another. There is just such a great number of things you could do with the car under the hood. Its just a different flavor of car, NA and turbo, Fwd and Rwd, drifting or dragging, you get the point. My civic could be made to go just as fast as my 240 if I invested the money, and I plan on doing so as soon as I'm done with my 240, and when all the ricers die and go away. It's just that they've been so exploited, its a damn cliche. You can't say you own a honda without people automatically assumed you've riced it out. BTW (and I know someone's gonna make a smarta.ss remark about this) don't you guys ever get sick of ragging on hondas? I've never really heard my friends with civics (fast ones) ever put down anything but domestics, and even that's wrong.

true true, I couldn't agree with you more. One of the biggest reasons they're riced out is because its not that hard to get your hands on one, its not like they're rare or anything, people actually have to search for 240s.

I am sorry you get beat by your friends lude and v6 accords. I see them up at the track and they do not run faster then we do stock. All three run around 16.3 stock. I think the honda's even had the apex-i vtec controller unit. the v6 was only running mid 16, due to its auto. the lude was right around low 16, where a 240 stock should be.

Around here, some of the fastest cars are Hondas. There's this one down here, a green civic hatch with black rota wheels. Under the hood is a built B18C5 with T62-1 turbo and nitrous. A 1900lb car (gutted) with 600fwhp+ on spray. It already beat 2 single turbo MKIV Supras (including an auto T88), countless spraying domestics, and a few bikes. Crazy car.

I'm sorry but Preludes suck balls. I've beaten a 97 with intak and exhaust, when I had the same. Accord V6s are pretty dumb too. V6 producing 200hp? Kinda a*s if you ask me. (Yes I know the new ones are 240hp). My dad didn't even like the Accord. He's like "for a V6 its kinda slow" haha, and my dad knows nothing about cars. You picked the two worst Hondas.

I also think turboing a type-r motor is dumb, why buy the most expensive motor if you gonna strip it and build it from nothing? That's backwards. A B20, or LS, or something cheaper is slightly more feasable. Honda kids are backwards, even the fast ones.

You can bag on hondas all you want, they are still good cars. Its the stupid people who give honda a bad name, blah, blah, blah, we've all heard this thread before. My daily driver is a honda, well, an Acura RSX, but its all the same thing. And in stock trim, my acura and my nissan cant even compare (at least not for long), the acura will win every day of the week. I know its not the fastest thing around, but it shure as hell is not the slowest. Having said that, the 240 still gets to park in the garage, even though its 6 years older and beat up:D I think wingzero is right, its such a cliche to bag on honda's. Your brand is ALWAYS better than the other guys brand, right? If your car is fast and descent looking, i could care less if it says honda, nissan, ford, or fiat on the side. give credit where credit is due, everybody likes different things (rice still sucks though).
