I, and I'm sure many of you - Have a tubular stainless manifold that gets VERY VERY hot. My aluminum intake manifold gets to about 250 degrees. However, that is mostly due to the excess heat coming from the turbo manifold.

My feet also get VERY hot. I'm talking sweating, and having to keep my feet off the clutch after a 40 minute drive. So what works? I've thought of heat wrap on firewall, heat wrapping the turbo, and thats about it.

What have you tried and how effective is it?

do you still have the heat shield mounted under your car?

wrapping your exhaust manifold and downpipe should fix it.

heat shield... hmm guess not

I guess I'll try that, I'm just making sure there isn't any issues wrapping that manifold and not properly dispersing heat.

Im going to be installing, my new exhaust manifold tomorrow, I purchased some heat wrap but then discovered that it causes hot spots and cracking in stainless steel. Im planning on fabbing up a heat shield to keep my feet cool and my brake fluid from boiling, I will make sure to take lots of pics of everything.
