This has been a fun thread. Altima drivers are a peculiar bunch :)

Anyone else care to share?

That's nice too.

I usually drive speed limit and when I come across a smooth road, I like to speed

I just got home from another 1.5 hour commute, thanks to good old NJ traffic. Didnt have any coffee this time though, and Im too burnt out from a typical Monday to curse at people.

Where do you commute to? I live in the Maplewood/Irvington area, go to school in Newark, NJIT to be more exact.

Rockaway to Montclair. If you know NJ, you know that shouldnt take 1.5 hours. Hence how I act in my AC!

Haha There's quite a range of drivers here on NICO! I have a large variety of driving habits. Sometimes I really like to floor it and play around in manual mode. Sometimes I drive SUPER well and max my mpgs, and when my girlfriend is in the passenger seat I drive the most normal of all so she doesn't realize how weird I am!!

Road rage, I'm like the opposite. I'm a calm driver but if someone has road rage behind me (usually some truck or POS car) I slow down, wait for them change lanes so fast their car looks like it's limping (severe case of body roll :chuckle: ) then I flip it into manual simulation and blow away before they can make eye contact with me :D and I'm with SHIFT, roads must be nice with all the exotics right?

Of course. I actually used to go up there just to whip around on the weekend. Never seen any Jackson Whites though.

I've only heard stories, I know that there's like a straight away then dead man's curve? You ever hit that turn hard and power out? Road trip!

Driving in Dubai is really great, but the thing is that I don't live in Dubai itself, I live in a nearby city (around 10 mins from Dubai). and there are usually endless traffic jams all the time between Dubai and where I live. Other than that, I think Dubai has great roads (many highways), the speed limit on highways is 60-75mph, so the urge to speed is always satisfied. But the most amazing thing I believe is the cars that you find there! You can find all sort of cars, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, MANY MANY american muscle cars (spcially the new camaro SS and Corvettes). That's why I usually love looking around while driving in Dubai
here's a video

Here's another question for you all, Where do you usually park your A/C? Do you just park it anywhere or do you pamper it? :gapteeth:

I always pamper my A/C. If I go to a mall or something, I usually take 2 places or I give it to the valet.

Awesome video. Looks like New York City highway a little bit, except your roads looks much better!

I park as far away from people as possible. People are careless and hit your car, its unbelievable. I don't trust valets!

^Same. I try to park away from other cars, but not all the way out where the car is completely by itself and open for thieves. Ive had metal valve caps stolen twice at my local mall. Frickin kids these days, if you wanted them that bad I would have bought you a $4 set from eBay when I got mine! If Im in a shopping center with carts present, I actually try and park in between 2 or behind at least 1 car. Ive been nailed twice by Rogue shopping carts and still have damage from them.

Cant imagine driving among the sick rides in Dubai. Must be amazing yet entirely nerve destroying at the same time. What are insurance rates like there?

Ya I actually fought with a guy once because he opened his car's door ALL the way and he hit my A/C! I stepped out of my car looking like I was about to cut him in half!
He started saying sorry and begging me to forgive him :tisk:
haha, anyway, I pay about $1,100 per year for my car insurance (full coverage & dad's name). It is not considered a sports car or a "coupe", they classify cars here based on the number of seats! So in the registration my car is actually considered a saloon/Sedan! :bs:

I seriously drive mine like a sports car :/ sometimes i stay awake at night dreaming about a 3.5.... Oh well, other than fast take offs and occasional flooring to pass someone, pretty much go the speed limit... (I have a disease if i see the numbers 65-70 my mind projects 80 over top of them. :/ )

i have a 3.5 sr 6 spd and i drive safe, but aggressive, and only punch it when i have some distance. medium acceleration is always fun to ;) all that fun driving and still average 22 mpg.

Dude. Page Mill Rd is scary as s*** at night with someone like you barreling down at 45mph on those roads. I had to drive my '93 Buick, which handles like a boat, on that road at night.

But at least there are homes there, and not cliffs. Black Road in Los Gatos is trippier. Even though it's a two way road, it loses the yellow median line, and in most spots, there's nay a guard rail in sight. This dude side swiped a biker up there thinking he could pass me. What a douche.

I remember this nasty road in PA, located on a cliffside. There's a one mile stretch of road that's too narrow for anything more than a single car. Because there's two way traffic, there has to be a traffic light that controls the flow of cars in one direction at a time. Lovely.

Where in the bay are you from, alphapig?

Well lets see if im by myself i tend to hit the gas to the floor  and laughing at all the jabroni's driving their stupid ricers and think they are fast. Also, i tend to take it easy to save on the gas but thats rare lol.....but when i have my beautiful dog "Baron" in the car i take it nice and easy and let him enjoy the wind out the window.

Everyone talks about encounters with ricers...am I the only fortunate one to have never encountered one that wants to race? The only car that tried to race me on the street was a truck but I backed off and rolled up my windows. Had Hondas and acuras revved their fart cannons when I had my windows down...

I'm going to grad school in Santa Clara University, but I used to attend Foothill which is essentially a gateway to mountains.

I'm not sure if you took Page Mill all the way to Hwy 35, but 95% of the turns have a cliff.

Anyway 1:00AM moutain runs are WAY safer for the public than trolling on the highway, drag racing from stop signs/lights, or other boring as hell ways that lolcantturn cars get their thrills.

This is the first MT I've owned so I drive pretty conservatively. I want to learn how to drive aggressively but also keep it nice and clean (as in smooth rev matched down shifts, get a good launch... which I havent even started trying yet). I've been getting much better, but my fear of destroying the car has def slowed down the learning process. Also, the roads are brutal where I live, so I spend a lot of time dodging pot holes... esp since I'm on eibachs and will have some news wheels in a couple wks!!!!!

i'm very light on the pedals, both acceleration and brake.. i have a soft touch lol. dont drive over 2,000rpm, and brake very lightly.

i had a 2002 50ton Cadillac before, so I got used to it :D
