Hey Bakerboard, you have to remove the whole intake tube and battery and then you'd be able to get to it. Also if you're trying to push with wire thru' the firewall you will probably have to cut it if it has a wiring harness attached to it, then reattach once you've pushed the wire to the inside.

If you want to use the factory wiring, you will have to get the switch with the fog light option and install it. There is a writeup on how to replace light switch somewhere but it's not difficult once you see the instructions.

OK thanks. I will work on that. Thanks. Ill try my best not to use the factory wiring but ill let you know.

edit: its $95 for a light swicth stalk with foglight option. IM going to definetly use the swicth i got... So hopefully today i can get the wire through and all comes out good!

Take a pic of what you've got now and post it up. I saw it in your other thread, but what about up top in the engine bay where you removed the intake tube?

Also, pretty sure that's a resonator box, not the air filter.

Well I un clip 2 silver clips and I take out the air filter. I'm trying to take what holds that in. I can't post pictures right now cause I'm not near my car.

I just noticed that you'd explained in the other thread what I was looking at earlier. Nissan apparently changed the intake design significantly. Anyway, ignore my resonator box comment.

I wish I knew of a B16 I could go look at to be of more help.

haha its ok. Thanks for trying to help! This stupied thing wont come out and its annoying because i want to use my car with my foglights!

also jsut to rant. nissan wants 95$ for a light swicth stalk with the foglight option and 95$/hr for labor so it would be close to 200$ for a light swicth stalk installation... grrr so retarted.

Yeah, the base dealer fee is $95 to even look at the car, so that's literally the best they'll do. I hated going to the dealer to do stuff.

So is the diagram labeled correctly? IM just curious because im trying to follow the directions and look at the diagram and it looks a little funny

ex: it says 7. is a PCV hose but i think 7 on the diagram is a little platform for the battery..

im just curious and want to make sure.

Also what is the air duct and air duct (inlet)?

I'll check my car later and see if there is a hose running under the battery stand. It's been about 6 months since I did it so don't remember off-hand. In any case just disconnect anything on the air duct so you can remove the box easily.

This picture may or may not help:

I had taken all of that out on my car just to get some looks around in there. I think what you're talking about is on the back of the air box, theres a bump that sticks out and it hits when you try to take it out. Make sure you got all the bolts off and anything that may seem to get in the way. It'll pull out, but damn did they make that thing a b**** and a half to get out.

Oh and all those wires that run along everything in that area, make sure you pop those little clips out of the holes. I think you have to do some of them or you can't get it out, don't forget to clip em back in later :P

aebstract has a good picture of everything that was removed. Just start at the front grill and work your way to the back, it just all the plastic pieces that lead up to the air filter box.
