How hard is it to replace the Fog Lamps on the 2011 M37?

I bought a set of LED-fog/DRL lamps from a link I read here on another thread. Now that the new lights have arrived, I'm thinking about how to I'm going to get the stock lights out. It looks like they need to come out from the wheel-well side.
Has anyone done this, and if yes, any tips - or link to thread describing the process, would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks for posting the link, but it doesn't look like it will help. The link is for adding fog lights to an aftermarket bumper/fascia install, so the lights are not mounted the same as factory. Unless I missed something in that thread.
I have (downloaded) the M37 shop manual so I'll start there.

This is the kit I bought http://store.ijdmtoy.com/Genuine-OEM-Sp ... 70-610.htm

The idea is going to be the same. Where he create his own bracket, yours should fit in preexisting holes.

Just did mine. Its really easy. You just have to turn your wheels, remove a few bumper plugs underneath in order to pull back the fender liners a little bit. Then you can just access the bulbs with your hands.

The driver side is the easiest. The passenger side is blocked by the windshield washer resevoir but if you have big arms like me, it'll be harder to reach. But it's not hard.

The OE fog lights are held in by a bolt and a clip behind the bumper cover. Accessing them is easiest when you jack the car up, remove the wheel and tire, and then remove the fender protector (wheel well liner) which is held on by pop-clips and 10mm bolts. Then you can easily access the bolt and clip. The driver side is the easiest, it's wide open. The passenger side is semi-hidden behind the washer fluid reservoir.

Changing the bulbs is pretty easy the "lazy" way (turning then wheel and loosening the fender protector, then just squeezing your arm in). But accessing and removing the whole fog light housing will probably be too hard this way.

Either way make sure you disconnect the negative battery terminal first. This car does not use enough fuses and you can damage the BCM. You don't want that.

Finally installed my IJDMtoy LED fogs:

LED on passenger side
OEM on driver side

install got faster with the second one, but man, is it a pain to remove the wheel liner!

I finished my install and posted about it here. my-experience-with-the-oem-fog-lights-t ... 08043.html

One thing I really liked was the "auto switch" that turns on the DRLs when the engine starts (and off when engine is shut off) based on vibration and/or battery voltage going above 13V - so I didn't have to run a wire into the cabin for key-on power.
