I learned when i was 6 or 7. My parents got this go kart with a 2 stroke engine in the rear that had a manual transmission. Had gas pedal, brake and clutch pedal. Shifter with 1st, 2nd and reverse.

Looked kinda like this but was a mercedes vert. I loved this thing. we gave it to my little cousins. I want it back.

When I worked at a golf course around age 15, we had this cart called a "Cushman." It was a 3 speed 3 wheeled death cart that would haul a** down the fair ways at about 25 mph. I miss that thing.

In middle school I used to steal my dad's keys to his toyota pick-up and just go up and down the street..and eventually around the block. I blame my brothers friends at the time, they all had fixed up honda's and RX-7's and it made me wanna learn.

I learned a few years ago on a 1G Eagle Talon with a built 4g63t @14psi with a stage 2 clutch (don't remember brand). I believe 1g dsm's are cable clutch so I stalled a few times taking off from 1st in front of people (mad embarrassing) but i got it down. Already knew when to shift from watching other people. I leaned how to downshift, and chirp gears, powershift, etc. on my s13.

I learned in my driveway, with my first car, the 240. It had a stage 5 clutch in it, what a pita!! Which is exactly why I stayed in my driveway, just practicing getting moving without stalling, until I got comfortable with it, then I ventured out onto the roads and perfected my driving skills, now I'm pro with this clutch :D Never stall it.

I learned on my newly acquired '94 civic back in '95. I sucked at first, but later I got it down in a matter of a couple of weeks. I had to... driving a manual transmission made me look cool.

Learned in a 2.2 s10 by driving it around town and stalling all over the place, ftw lol !! People are so impatient, jeeses ...

It was not the easiest car to learn in because it had no giddy-up and I'd have shift into 2nd by ~ 10mph !!

Well i first got introduced to it by driving my buddies MK2 Volkswagen Golf around a parking lot like 2 ties, then i drove auto for a while, then i went to another city with a buddy to pick up my 240, and leaned on the drive home which was about an hour, then i cruised around all night with a bunch of buddies with hondas, and by the end of the night i had raced (and beat :P) all of them haha. Well except one, but he has a VR6 so yeee lol.

I first learned in a parking lot in my friend's EF Civic Si. I don't know if it was just me, but those cars are not fun to drive, haha. Then, I later learned on my buddy's S13 and then my own!

Heel and Toe was one of the first things I had to master, because I hated being in neutral.

In a 2001 SVT Cobra. The clutch was stiffer than a coil spring. I couldn't differentiate 3rd and 5th cuz of the B&M shifter. I stalled numerous times, but after that extreme experience, every other manual car was a piece of cake.
