Al spent sometime in the Persian Gulf aboard an FFG during around the time of Stark incident. Interesting stories, especially when he nearly pulled the chaff after an Iraqi aircraft fired a missile.Alberto Z from Legal wrote:I bet we find out before the end of the year.
Friend of mine was on an FFG when they were crossing the through Gibralter and the CIWS cannon went off irratically. No one was hurt but the dang thing flaked out on them.mattblancarte wrote:Ditto.

1960-1970's Soviet equipment < Most Modern Western equipment. This video just reminded me of how old and antiquated their military equipment is. Their F-14's are A models that have had a good 20 years to break down without parts. And their fast attack subs? Foxtrots or Romeos?mattblancarte wrote:This is how dangerous: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armed_Forc ... ic_of_Iran

There is absolutely no way that you can convince me that going to war with Iran is a good idea.
Edit: Forgot to mention... they have well-equipped and well-trained ground forces.
