How bad of an idea is this. Please let me know asap. KA injector...

If this is a stupid bad idea, just slap me asap. I know its not a good idea, but here goes.

My #2 cylinder wasn't getting fuel and after a few tests it was obviously the injector. I've ordered one, but dude said he would ship it saturday and it would get here by yesterday. Well here we are today with no injector cuz dude at shop (wont name) said he barely shipped it yesterday. I know people get bizzy so whatever.

Ok my question is, would it be terribly bad to use a KA stock injector just to fire up the engine and let it idle? Maybe a few revs, but nothing too massive? I will be installing some gauges and stuff, but i need to just let the motor run a bit. Oh yea and time is short to0. I have to be ready to run in a few days. Let me know asap thanks.

Just idle, it couldn't hurt, wouldn't rev it or anything though.

I wouldnt recomend it, Im not sure what the flow rate on the KA injectors are, but I know it is smaller than 370CC, so you will be running super lean in that cylinder, now I know your not trying to drive it, but I still would not do it.

I still haven't ran the motor for more than a min at a time and I want to let it run for more. I want to get all the nasty-ness out before I actually run it, set the timing while all 4 cylinders are firing, When i hook up the gauges get some kind of feed back from the motor, and the main one is i wanna get all the bad old fuel out of its system. I'm going to see how it idles with it on in just a few mins here. I'll post up later tonight after everything is installed. Thanx for the replies.

up date:

Car idled fine. Did what i wanted to do and got rid of old low octane gas and put in some fresh gas with octane booster.

Didnt' drive it or rev it past 3500. again thanx for the response.
