Hey guys can anyone tell me now the sohc pistons make more compression in a dohc then the stock dohc pistions do? I mean the dohc pistons are 9.5:1 and the sohc pistons are 8.6:1 and 9.0:1 so the sohc pistons are actually lower compression, so how does putting the sohc pistons in a dohc make the compression in the 11's:1??? I also need to no what year sohc pistons make what compression in a dohc???Thanks in advance if anyone can answer my question...

All of this has been covered numerous times, so please search. As far as how it makes a higher compression, IIRC adding the SOHC pistons to the DOHC rods makes for a longer stroke (I assume the SOHC piston is taller). Therefore, more compression.
