I guess that the mods hate my comments on this issue. But I do feel compelled to voice my opinion. Nico has always been great, and always will be. Mods have also been great... I have praised them as much as anyone else.

But....

I dont agree with the way the situation was handled. Its not just the Hottest Chick thread. its all the threads. Its the Locks. Its the lack of punishment ofr individuals that have no regard for their actions.

See, if i go into a thread I really dont care about, say really stupid thing, and it gets deleted, have I learned a lesson? I dont think so.

All i have done is caused other people discomfort, unhappiness, and pain.

Again.... I think that a little policing of the bad guys, without hurting the masses is what is needed. I have suggested many different things, like if some one messes up, then put an new avitar with a douchebag on it or something.

Or maybe make everything they type for the next 3 days come out pink.

I really dont know exactly.... but anything is better than just quieting everyones voices.

meh threads come and go...in a month we'll have some other retarded thread we'll cry about when it leaves...

I think the hottest woman thread actually appeared not very shortly after the demise of noodles...

hell, at the rate this thread is going, it could be the next thread...

and a lot of the pics in that thread were starting to get tasteless...I dunno...I figured it'd have happened before now really...

ah well, somebody go get me a slinky!

Why not just allow the Admins/Mods to run the site in the way they see fit. There are lots of issues to consider, not just pleasing the hard-up crowd.

That's for sure.

How about a little respect?

Better yet, how about a little more self-policing. That thread got pulled for a reason, and no one stood up and said, "Hey dude, edit that, we don't want to lose this thread!"

Now we've got an admin and a mod taking a couple hours out of their life to edit and reinstate a thread, JUST to keep people happy, and yet there's grumbling and whining.

We're not perfect, but I think we're well ahead of the "competition".

A little respect and appreciation for our moderators, please.

Bunched Panty Extraction Crew has been called - Please try to stay calm, help is on the way!

Thread wasn't deleted - we have a "Moved Threads" forum where we keep things for review by the admins and mods.

Im sorry if the way that I came off was disrespectful... It was not my intention and I am honestly sorry.

Self policing.... I do agree... im sorry that some dumb bastard had no idea that he was being a douche. But I just got here and everything had happened. I cant use it on the weekend, i dont really have good net access. If I wouldve been here... I wouldve loved to tell someone off.

About the mod that is taking time out... thank you. I dont care that much about the thread, but I am grateful for the time you take out.

And you arent perfect, your better. A perfect person woud be expected to do something. You guys work for us because you care. Because you love this site, love its members, and love our cars. and for that, I thank you.

I am more than grateful. and I do appreciate you. I know that never in a million years, could I do a better job.

dude, you think your the 1st to complain about the way things are run here at NICO?? This goes back to the k-car and dauntless days when threads and posts were being locked & deleted left and right. We are just members, we do not have any say in how things are dealt with. We do not own this forum. Greg does. This is Gregs forum, he can do as he wishes. If you don't like it, you have your walking papers. Now if you have a suggestion, and offer to take part in whatever needs to be done, I believe the staff will be more than willing to co-operate. This is not a democracy guys. However, Greg isn't a Mussolini either

One small correction: this is YOUR forum. Collectively. Always has been, always will be.

If you look at my date... I was here then.

I do remember all of that stuff, I found K car to be one of the most knowledgeable guys on the site... even if sometimes he got stupid with people. What the mods did was correct and let him know to tone it down... But his deletion of his threads was all his own. Mods knowing that it was not cool took care of it and made it so that you cant delete your own threads anymore.

Im sorry, but I dont agree that we have no say on how things go. I feel that we should be allowed to suggest things (which I did), Complain (which I did) and Self police (which I could not do because I wasnt here). i dont think what I did was wrong, other than the fact that I might of come off alittle strong.

how bout we try this.....

Me<Mods Me---> to Mods

And can I offer everyone a drink?

I know, which is why i pointed those names out. Remember when we did not agree in how the kcar situation was handled. Despite mass disagreement and large threads well over 200 replies (back then that was a lot) on how the staff was unfair, nothing changed. He wasn't reinstated. This should tell you, we don't run things here.

If I can remember, it was kcar himself (btw... this was a very taboo topic for a looonnnggg while) that deleted the threads after mods told him he was being to rough on newbs.

I dont think he wanted to come back.

And about Dauntless... Good guy, put in a bad spot. i still feel bad for the way things went for him.

and why did he delete his threads?

And as harsh as it was for me to say it, we don't have a say. Only thing we can do, is suggest. We can't complian like the other forums who have member fees, because we don't pay any! Everything has a drawback.

Hey I generally like the moderating staff here and I think they do a good job, warning members before action is taken. I do think that they could enforce the rules on some members that tend to spam in inappropriate forums. But I mean, I got permanently banned from zilvia forums just for goofing around in one thread, so trust me, I hear you on the points that are being made. I've been here a while, and overall I'm happy with the way things are run here.

I too, am happy with the way things are run here....

and he deleted his own threads... He was a mod at the time and was pissed that he was singled out for picking on newbs....

While this is true, there are more discreet (more respectful) ways of doing so.

This is also true. I do see the err of my ways. I kinda wanted everyone to be able to post what they feel. But it seems like I am the only @ss that felt like things couldve been done differently.

I was kinda harsh.... I did say sorry...
