^Agreed. It just that we've seen many people register offer something and leave. IMO thats not cool at all. I and many others hate to see this. Dont leave. Stick around a bit. This place is always fun. All you gotta do is avoid the leghumpers.

Anyway...1) You never gave us an example of what you concider a major mod2) We have no background info on the team. Try posting pics of the members(Yourself included ;))3) Are your cars trailor queens? Or do you actually "drive them"4) Is there a membership fee? 5) Willyou guys be participating in any motorsports (Drift/Auto X/Drag/Road course)?

These are just some of the questions that you left unanswered. How bout you stay awhile, answer those questions, and post pics of youself. ;) If you stick around, you'll begin to see why we have 18,000 members.

Edit: Correction. 19,000 members.

im gonna have to say that's a negative, the man drives an mr2... it came turbocharged, any 1 modification done to the system would count as 1 modification, for anybody that sits and counts "modzz"

yeah, sorry lady, we make fun of show cars for the most part and we're mostly ***holes. sure there are people who are into show, and are nice people, but most of us arent...i actually did not mean to be malicious, i just found the 5 major mod thing silly. You should have just said something like, "we are looking for mods that people can look at"

Just know that we're not ALL rude! Who knows... maybe your presence here could change the attitudes of some people.

I think one of the things people object to... is newcomers who make their first post a recruiting effort for a group or product. The site admins and owners have made it pretty clear... if you want to tap the resources of this community... become PART of the community FIRST. A lot of our sponsors are active members who answer tech questions, add their own personal input, and contribute with more than just advertising fees. I realize you're not here looking to make a quick buck... but it looks a little overzealous of you to jump in head first and assume people here are going to be receptive to your offer.

In other words... I think that if you had established yourself as an active member first, your idea/offer would have been met with FAR less skepticism and abuse.

-Greg-

I couldn't have said it better myself.

BTW, our mods weren't "slacking", we've been having a rough week. We're recovering from back-to-back hacking incidents, and people are understandably busy.

I'll expect NO further flaming of new folks here. If you're not interested in her offer, zip it.

Thanks all! :D

Well INSTEAD of just pluggin your team. Maybe you should INSTEAD, go and get to know people better. Also I think an engine swap counts for like 25 mods, do you know what it takes to swap an engine? I have to modify at least 10 things already to even consider a swap. Things like my wallet, my bank account, my credit, my lungs, etc. INSTEAD of just thinking bolt-on this and bolt-on that.

So I guess you understand what I mean INSTEAD of me just being a total jerk, right?

Tee hee.

I wonder if Princess Civic-girl has posted on Fresh Alloy yet. I can only imagine what those guys over there would have to say.

Ok Im gonna start over. Team Flux was established in 1995 by a group of friends that hung out in high school. They showed at all local shows and they became very popular with alot of people and began to grow. In the past we have showed at Drift Events(sorry I have no names, I never went to any of them but other members did.) We have been to HIN, Extreme AutoFest, SEMA, Nisei Week Showoff, Import Showoff, and more Many of the members range from 18-30. Are only joining fee is purchasing a Flux shirt and buying you Flux stickers for your car. We only have the shirts and stickers to let people know what team are car belongs to and to show 'team spirit' for whatever show we happen to be attending. Often the members go to the race tracks or dyno events. That leads me into at this point none of are cars are trailer cars, every car is dail driven. As of right now cars I can think of off the top of my head that are part of our team our: Mazda Protege Wagon, Honda Civic (3), Supra, Mr2, Scion XB(the Scion club shows with us sometimes), Scion TC, Infiniti G20, Lexus IS300, Acura Integra, Nissan Pathfinder, Honda Accord, etc. We are open to almost everything as long as it is nice. Major Modifications mean a paint job that is not your stock color and does not have any MAJOR defects, a turbocharged car and not a stock turbo and a turbo that has all the goodies too, turbo timer, down piping, etc., interior work (custom carbon fiber pieces, racing seats, aftermarket steering wheel, etc. , a Body Kit-at least 4 Pieces and for it to be major in needs to match the color of your car and go with scheme of your car, rims- not stock rims brands such as Volk, Racing Hart, HRE, 5 Zigen, SSR's, etc., suspension is a major modification only if you have the whole thing, example: coilovers, sway bars with good brands like TEIN & you know the rest Vertical Doors that is a major modification. System: not a box with two speakers that is not a major modification: custom system which includes custom mounting common place is where the spare tire goes more then one amp is best but we dont limit are members to that. if it looks clean, sounds clean, and is basically not cheesy it could be acceptible. Some people may never unerstand why their are teams like Flux but its basically a competive thing and thats why some people like teams and just to show with a team and see what kind of floor sets your team can come up with or what other teams have done to their cars. Free to ask questions and I'll try my best to answer them.

i have a couple things to say;

first stop calling your little group a team, I already explained that you're a club, not a team, too bad my reply was deleted.

vertical doors? hahahahaha. why do people like you guys even bother with suspension? you will never ever use it. cut springs are all you'll ever need.

heres what my car consists of...my intercooler has a dent in it and lot of bent fins from when I racked a wall at a competition in vegas. my exhaust tip has a huge dent in it from when went too wide through a turn and hopped up on a berm causing my exhaust to be pushed up and smashed on the tow hook. I pulled my rear fenders out to fit really big wheels and the fenders folded. (not big like you're thinking... 19x7.5 +42... 17x9 +15)

i have no interior.. only one racing seat (sparco bucket) because the passenger can hold onto something else.

i took out two of my speakers, my stereo sucks, my front bumper is ZIPTIED ON, no bolts anywhere, my decklid has holes in it from the previous owners wing, both of my fenders have dents.. oh yeah, and the lip in the pic isn't painted.

i have a motor swap, turbo upgrades, etc etc... coilovers, lsd, sway bars, etc... can i be in your club?

heres a pic of my car for you:

i dont mean to be a jerk, but civic chick...ur car looks 99% stock...looks like u just slapped a kit on and that was it...at this point you seem really hypocritcal to me...the whole major mod's thing is looking like a joke (sans some of the OTHER cars...teh RSX is fairly modded while still attrocious looking...the eclipse is really nice IMO...a little fast and furious but i really respect his choice of rims)

what are your 5 mod's considered?

1. dime-a-dozen body kit2. 1 sub...woah bump bump nickaa!3. er..engine dressup? possibly an intake or something?4. ...stock rims...didnt u say that was not allowed?

eh, im done

I actually like the RSX.

As for me? My car was nothing when I towed it to my house 2 years ago with a spun #2 rod bearing, shattered windshield, dented body panels, blown suspension, 4 mismatched tires, and riceboy stickers all over it. By now, most of the major components have been ripped out, thrown away, and replaced with something better, and the rest of it was ripped out and freshened up. Yet it still looks pretty much like it did when it left the lot ~12 years ago, as long as you don't open the hood or look under the wheel wells, and turn a blind eye to the ride height and exhaust.

Show? Um, well my exhaust is angled kinda up and to the left for JDM TYT3N3SS, and the 3" piece of silicone hose on my intake manifold is blue. Am I in???

:D
