Part II. Since i failed to update and bother with a mess of a thread as part I.

Anyways...

Day i got it in CT 8-16-07. 100% stock and old man driven its whole life. 2nd owner. Also he moved from florida where it was its whole life besides 2 months up here pre my ownership.

Winter: and that was only part 1, Man i love the north east

Random shots: from april this year, post deer accident. just outside manhatten

Tri-City bmx track

Current Mods:Engine bay:~Intake~Megan Racing header~2.5in BRM cat back/dual tip~NGK wires/plugs~Z32 MAF/Fuel filter~Mishimoto Radiator~Battery Relocation

DriveTrain:~R32 Skyline VLSD~Synthetic Oil~transmission Flush

Interior:~98 (S14) Cloth Front Seats~Black molded carpet~pioneer Premier deck~infiniti Kappa components~Some wack a** system built on teh cheap and still bumps hard

Exterior:~Painted Grills black~No more stock wing/antenna~stock SE wheels~5mm rear H&R spacers~rattle can black roof

Suspension:~Megan Racing Coilovers :Street Series

Just got a free rust free/wingless/wiperless hatch off a friend no more spoiler rust holes. i miss the wiper like crazy tho. Its got a bunch more stickers now....

Right now im upgrading/replacing a bunch of stuff. Im doing the SCCA race november 7th, so i figure since i just got layed off why not get a head start. Unemployment FTW.) (Heres the link to the AMEC SCCA race http://shift518.gom-host.com/s...12811

My Todo list before the race:

~Swap intake manifolds (no emissions/egr block off/painted/new gaskets for mani and TB)~Install Sr injectors (New o-ring kit on each injector)~Swap Exhaust header (mine has a crack from 30K of ehaust pipe flexing) for an egay one that i got in a trade for a hatch glass and add the new gaskets~z32 Maf and MSD ignition ~Wiretuck some crap. Should come out good since theres MILES of it now. ~Install the dual altima fans~Oil change/Coolant flush/transmission rear seal replaced and fuild added.~Clean and Re lube? all 4 coilovers. ~Install ANOTHER Walbro since my s***ting the bed right now... wtf. should have got a aeromotive~Sand/And do a cheap paint job for the race. I just bought the paint for the real paintjob in december. CANT wait ~Install the GP SPORTS 3pc wing and roof spoiler.~Install the universal coolant overflow tank. Thats all i can think of right now. i know theres more.

So this is as of an hour ago when i quit for the night.Took fan shroud off and began doin werk

Upper portion is off.

What it looks like right now.I immediately cut some cardboard and covered those holes. not taking any chances.

Now i wanna do a wire tuck. I was staring at the harness and i got thinking. The old (factory) way of doin it was to run uptop next to the injectors. What if i ran it in between the intake mani and block. theres tons of room. and it would be perfect to run wires out of and hide some for now.

Winter Plans: Mocked up.

Lookin good. All I can say from my own experience is don't cheap out or do things half a**. It'll come back to haunt ya.

While you got the intake side all torn apart, clean the s*** outta the engine- You'll be happy you did later. Makes things all shiny and nice. And people like shiny things haha

KA love!!!

You get a internet highfive from me for powering up the KA instead of doing the SR swap.

Ca swaps get an even bigger highfive but a KA is fine too.

P.S It must be pretty weird shifting with that handgrenade??

i love the shifter very unique. in the process of changing motor in mine, old motor started to smoke like a freight train moreless, going to take the old ka and do a turbo build also. i just think i will like the added torque better than what the sr has, i think ka is better.

Trust me im huge on a clean engine bay. Ive just been neglecting it all summer and i worked in a stone place so clay roads got the best of my car. The dust sticks to everything! Before i worked there it was SPOTLESS. and then i stopped caring.

The only time its a good thing when you see a freght train smoke coming from your car is when its a diesel

Granted this is no Epic teddy thread, so ill try to spice it up a little next update.

The sr injectors i got in a trade... just trying to piece all the small crap together then ill start upgrading crap. as it is im going to have to run a bottom mount. I think. The turbo is WAY to close to the brake booster.

Update for last night:

Did a couple things last night before a tree hit a power line and knocked the power out. killing my heater and lights.

- Organized some of the wiring-Took exhaust off-Took the VC off to get a new front plate with a new gasket (was leaking very minimal) (youll see in pics) -And then i starting cleaning a bunch of stuff and then 2 hours later im left with darkness :headbangBlah.. heres some crappy cell pics.

What a MESS!

New manifold.-Secondary butterfly delete-No more egr/emissions Cleaned and painted with high temp paint

Part of the wire mess. This is nothing compared to what it looks like now..

And before i started to clean

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd im going out now to do some more

10/15/09 Update.

So i Cleaned up the paqssenger side part of the engine bay. Getting the harness quickly swapped over to the new manifold and wouldnt you know it, something always has to slow me down....the Iacv/aac arnt the same... Also I dont know how, but i managed to break a head off a brand new bolt taking it out. And it wasnt cross threaded. Weird.

Wire brushed and painted high temp black. (note that there BOTH from a 1992 240sx) W T F. there not even close. So i consulted nico.. found nothing, and then said fu ck it and cleaned the old ones up and threw them on.

Cleaning/General info on the IACV/ACC can be found here. Note Vancoverbc says "did anyone buy a new ivac and notice there incapadable with the harness"zerothread?id=251133

Should i do my headgasket? ( i have one sitting around) Nothing wrong with the current one. Its one of those "while im in there" but i have NO idea what to do about the chain placement, I just dont wanna fu *ck $hit up.

Heres a list of crap i got done. -New Belts-New OEM T stat-Cleaned passenger side bay. (almost done)-Relocated the Cruise control harness to under the fender.-Couple Brackets wire brushed and painted black. -Took 17 inches out of the MAF Wire. Then i had a huge fail. I found that harness i needed for the old IACV. FML. Owell i already painted the put the other one on. My wire brush doin work. left is what they are look like, and the right is after. I must have done close to 25 tonight...

Thats it for now.... its 3am and i need sleep

So tonight i got alot done for the 4 hours i was out there... -Cleaned the rest of the bay. PITA!!!!

-Removed p/s res for relocation of the S14 reservoir (S13 one sucks. no matter what i do the p/s fluid eats at the paint. so plastic FTW!)

-Cleaned up the thermostat housing & installed belts again after i forgot to clean behind them

-Moked up Altima fans... Oh hai Altima fans!

So then i came across this on the back of the block while i was cleaning. i instantly knew 95% of it i either had to block off or tkae off some how.

While searching i found this----> zer...moval Answered my question right away as to where to put the vaccum line for the FPR. SWEET!

LOTS of room now

Just a random overview shot...

Tommorow, or for that matter, this whole weekend i hope to:-Wire up fans-Make some brackets for the radiator-Cut/splice/finish the harness. Make it wire tuck approved -Rewire the relocated battery.-Take that damn battery tray out. -baiscally i hope to finish it by monday.... we'll see

The KA24E/KA24DE is the engine that is offered in the 240SX in the USDM. The JDM came with the SR20DET.

OP, lookin good man. Hope mine comes out 1/2 as clean as your bay.

YES I KNOW MY CELL PICS SUCK. Camra here tommrow

So this is somewhat of a massive update. Been really busy since the last update. Between my car. My friend ryans 240(Ka blew up, New KADE and 5spd swap to go in) Guy from down the road, had to replace his auto transmission in his MINT 110k 89 hatch. And now my g/f is in/out the hospital, so no time for play time

So ive got 3 240's in my driveway and not one drives right now Franks 89 SE hatch 110k. old lady ftw!

Now on to the progress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So i got alot done in a way... but in another way i wanted it to be done last monday ~I started off my cleaning the rust on the strut towers... then i did the underneath of them where the coilovers bolt up. Sanded then por15 on the bottom and Rustoleam Flat black on top.

~Took all my injectors out, and bought a O-ring kit and pintle caps from MR. Injector. CHEAP and fast shipping ~Bought an extra SR injector from Japan Star Motors. Located 2 miles from me~Hooked up the Auto Ka ecu quick~Cleaned the plastic the painted the motors on the altima fans.. Looks 100% better.~Got my S14 p/s resivoir relocated next to the clutch master cyl. ~New front rotor, as in new to me ~replaced broken stud thats been broke all year thanks to my friend and a air rachet.. some friend lol~Cleaned up the brake master cyl, thanks to my wire brush/drill~wirebrushed/sanded/painted brake boosterI put black RTV gasket maker behind the master cyl. brake fluid coming out? causeing to rust over time?....

Got my GP SPORTS roof sopiler on: Spent 4 hours in just sanding to perfecto..

Went to a friends house and i come back with more parts Those rotors i mentioned above and this:1989 2tone coupe (grey and charcol.. DROOL. lol) back seats. There not that crappy material like every other 240. Ive been searching for black ones FOREVER in good shape. Well there blue. would have left them blue but the top was EXTREMELY faded. I bought RIT dye, 2.50 a box and a dollar store sprayer:

So I actually got everything hooked up. and started. 13seconds later my intake manifold decided it hates its life and and top coolent pipe cracked, thus leaking fluid everywhere.. I WAS PISSED. so pissed i went out for a walk and this is the result : Chocolate Frosty

So i got back to bussniess.... heres exactly 5:45min later. doin work

Needless to say i went into the Warehouse O' parts, (basement ) and got a intake mani... so here we go again... (pic is when it was 1/2 wirebrushed)then i got distracted by something on my shelf

It goes into the plug for the p/s on the rack. Do i need it, and if so is it a simple +/-? gay...

When i get home ill update some more. plan to work on it alllllllllllllllllllllllllll night woot woot. Tieing up all the loose ends. and it WILL run tonight. Also might install a exhaust cam in the intake side. or not.. lol
