If that's the power steering sensor, it speeds up the motor slightly when the pumps draws more power because you're turning the wheel at a dead stop.

Don't need it."I saw KA > SR" and I thought, "Oh. He's going from a KA to an SR."

Then I came in and saw that was not the case.

And HELL NO there will never be a sr in any 240 of mine

Lookin good bro! Your car is coming along now, but since you have that intake manifold off you should definately repaint it while it's out. I have painted a lot of intake manifolds and the best thing I have found to use is Duplicolors hightemp paint.

Oh yeah and I would not recommend putting that exhaust cam in.I've heard of people doing this, but just wouldn't recommend it. I'll do some research for you on this topic! Keep it up man:)

Ya i already painted the other intake mani. just havent got around to taking pics. just been busy. And the cam ive done many times before...it def helps out alot, and only takes 10 minutes or so. i just gotta get the tourqe specs first then ill do it.

SHE LIVES!!!

JUST finshed the car... kinda sorta. too anxious to get it going. Still gotta do a couple minor things...

~Wired up the fans with a ThermoSwitch. Looks harder then it was. it was cake!~Relocated p/s resivor~Welded my eGAY header back up to make it last til snow comes lol~New Intake mani on~Put BC stage 2 cams in. Idles awsome Cant wait to see what it has. ~installed The Sr injectors~Cleaned the bay up some more~Put the new back seats in~Finshed up the brake booster and brake master cyl cleaning project

currently has no front end on. Plan to run no front bumper tommrow and go for a short cruise and wash her!

O moar new stickers ! +35hp!

Thats it for now. Should have a huge update tommrow with pics/etc

So all this work and i didnt make it...

First it started off as getting too much fuel. then went to no spark. by this time it was flooded. so now i went and got new plugs. well i souced the problem to the ignition not getting + so i said f*** it and took the engine harness that was in my basement and put it in. i was mad bc i spent 7 hours cutting/tucking everything. looked f***ing sweet. Now my main focus was i just wanted to drive it.... its been over a month. so i swapped it over and timed it with the help of a friend who was haulin a** trying to finsih it. Started 6hours later and found a coolent leak. bad hose and pinhole in the rad. Fixed both. Now its race day and its 6am. i put the front clip on (hood/fenders/bumper etc) on and had it running. running rough bc it needs a tune but running. by this time its 730 after i finshed a couple things.

Now at my house theres 2 other 240s blocking me that dont run. So im like wtf its 730 and im not gunna be there at 8 and with another coolent leak (later turned out to be another old hose i SWEAR i replaced. )i said f*** it.

So im looking at franks car and guess what.... i bought it..

This is my new shell. 1989 240sx. Red SE auto hatch. 110k. Its like brand new. no rust paints in great shape just needs a waxjob. and some love.



The Plan before snow hits: -Drop the motor out the bottom with everything (remember this is a sohc. the p/s stuff is all differnt. Plus i can just switch them bc my 92 is going to be a track car or something next year)-Swap over the interior quick. -Swap Motor/5spd stuff + vlsd

coilovers im taking off the car and rebuiling them over the winter. 2 years old/34k... It def wouldnt hurt.

More updating to be had!

F_uck what i said about swapping subframes. i forgot i bought my truck for winter. Gunna build up the KA with the parts ive been collecting and do some much needed maintance to this 220k beast.

'89 Shell: Pulled the motorset and began ripping everything outta the bay to clean up/maybe paint/ but in general swap entire wire harness's for the auto sohc -> 5spd kadet.

Went from this

To this in 20 minutes:

Both waiting to get picked up by the new owners. (dohc is blown, sohc worked AWSOME has VC leak for like 50k miles. hahahaEngine Bay:

The ONLY rust on the car. and i have a piece to replace it already.

Pics of the car.. Dont you love it when people hack this s***? Out of 7 240's ive owned NONE of them came with stock plugs/radio. BS!

This is what won me over... Fully intact not dry out crack ORIG sunroof seal GTFO! AND car came with Sunroof bag!!!And just incase no one caught that:

With this new shell over the winter i want to:

~Energy subframe bushings front/rear~Both subframes bead blasted and painted~Fix that one spot of rust~Swap over the silvia front seats and rear suede seats~Leave the carpet. its black and that 89-90 may look like astro turf but durable as hell~Dohc swap with dohc front subframe.

Motor:Getting rebuilt. right now it has bc stage2 cams/370cc/secondary butterfly delete/Coolent bypass on TB/11lb flywheel etc. Over the winter:~Front/rear seals. Headgasket..etc. ~BC vavles and retainers~Port and polish head~Block maybe checked and treated~CP pistons/idk on connecting rods/stock crank.. etc. ~Subie Injecters i think there 615cc?~looking at a Xcessive intake mani.~Q45 maf or reading up on MAF to MAP~ Other little things i cant think of right now.

Turbo Kit:Looking for 275-300 thats it. i already have FRsport top mount mani as well as a ebay one thats forsaleT3/4 turbz, external wastegate w/15lb spring, i need: SR20 interfooler pipping, Greddy Type RS BOV, oil lines.

Tune:Either nistune or megasquirt.

Suspension:~Megan track coilovers (have)~PBM everything hahaha have most of it priced out. just gotta make that money!Nismo Power brace (on order )Full subframe bushing kit. Solid motor mounts

Drivetrain: 5spd with BRM short Shift (have)R32 skyline VLSD. (have)

Cooling: Dual altima fansMishimoto radOEM thermostat not that AAP or napa bullsh!t

I wanna do coilpacks, ditch the dizzy.

Brakes:Staying 4lug for now, upgraded calipers and rotors?

Most of this stuff i have even if it dosnt say have next to it.Questions, Comments, Concerns?

Edit: F U im keeping the A/C, P/S, Cruise and that rear wiper you all hate!
