OK, I need some help and input from you guys... First, go to the homepage and review some of the articles.

http://www.nicoclub.com

Let us know what kind of things you'd like to see MORE of, and what stuff that's on there that is useless (or of less interest).

Lastly, we're going to be asking for some help with maintaining certain sections of the homepage, so if anyone's down to make sure sections get updated once a month or every so often, we're looking for responsible people to help out there too.

Thanks all!!!

I like the articles! It would be cool to see more projects on the main page though.

Also, depending on the load, I might be able to help out with the homepage.

i know its all over the forums, but maybe move the link and info for the nissan convention up more towards the top of the page. cause if people are like myself, and just click the forums link on the homepage right away, they dont really look at it it very much. plus it might help with getting more people to see the link for the convention.

Maybe there could be more feature articles on some of the cool builds on this site (From all Forums). When i read the entire aritcle about Greg's vert i was seriously hoping there'd be more articles like that to come. So basically every so often, feature a considerable "finished" (in running condition) car. That seems like a good idea?

I agree. I would like to see more articles like this. Maybe something like the brief history of Prince, of what though numbers/letters on tires mean (I'm sure most of us know already, but just throwing it out there as an example).

^ Most people on this forum are on daily and those articles stay up for months. I'm not saying to change them daily or even weekly but a little more often.I love how to or myth busting articles about cars. Maybe some articles about new stuff with nissan that goes on, more car reviews.

More how to stuff would be great.

Also the photoshop contest has been up there for ages and if the mods aren't going to hold anymore (im sad I missed the last one ) then I would take it off all together.

Articles need bylines or sources.Mainly just the byline though.

I know its not specifically what your asking for, but I was looking through them the other day and I forget till I saw this thread. Currently its just like some article of information written by some random anonymous person who hopefully is reliable.

I always thought the presentation was a little cheesy on the home page...

Maybe it's just the pictures that are put with the articles? I understand that featured articles need some kind of thing to separate them from the every day ones, but I think the effort could be better used on getting the how-to articles all put together in one area.

+1000000. This would be so cool. To have a collection of well written build threads from all over the site in one place.

I'd be down for helping. Shoot me an email.

Greg

I've been kicking around the idea of doing a series of articles documenting what I am allowed to of the manufacturing process for the Altima's, Armada/qx56/Titans. Something along the lines of "A Day in the Life" so to speak from someone on the inside of one of Nissan's factories. Pictures wouldn't be available for most if not all of the stuff due to regulations, but its amazing how descriptive you can be with words lol. If your interested I'll go ahead and get started on that. I'm also available to help with anything you need staff wise. Hit me up on my Gmail if you're interested its in my profile

I'd love to see something like that.

Greg, I'm not sure what kind of help I could be, but if you can find something for me to do, I'd gladly pitch in.

Right now, the things that will help us out the most:

Build articles - If you draft one, make sure it's proofread pretty well, and include url links to pictures wherever you want them...

Design / coding - We have about 20 new portal pages in the hopper that are undeveloped. Anyone who's GOOD at coding / design (especially in CSS or WordPress), we can definitely use some help there. Keep in mind, this one's kinda demanding, so n00bs need not apply.

Outreach - A lot of people (like Dave above) don't realize how much good info we have. Dropping a link here and there as you wander the web not only helps the person find our info, but new people bring good info with them as well...

Self-policing - Those of you who know the posting rules, can always post up a gentle redirection to someone who hasn't read the rules. Also, letting us know if you see a spammer, or something that just looks shady, is always appreciated.

Lastly, one of the BIGGEST things that ANYONE can do is, once a day, click on the "Unanswered Topics" link at the bottom of the forums... Look through there and post up. Even if you just post a "welcome aboard", or "Here's where to find that info", it keeps new people from feeling left out (while we're all in here having fun).

zer...wered

Hope this helps - This community is about EVERYONE, and it's not just the Moderators and Administrators who help out.
