Doc, you hit it on the money. That is the exact reason I said it wasn't worth it. I just did the math in my head and was to lazy to type out my reasoning. Maybe they are charging the extra 10k for that high speed hood. Or they want to be compinsated $1 for every drop of swet they spilled to make this car.

Right away it is used with 1200 miles suggested retail drops from (say loaded) ~32000 minus ~14% (based off 2.5s comparison to new vs used with 1200 miles since we don't have a value for the3.5SE yet)

equals ~27250 would be the actual suggest retail value of the car...with all features (premium and tech packages)

So the car is worth about 25000 trade in....now start arguing all the extras, turbo yada...50K is WAY too much

I am just curious what they are for, I assume its the turbo of course, but I just didnt know why it needed two and blake's needed one. Is it because one is manual and the other is CVT??
one of the gauges is boost and the other is egt (exhaust gas temp.) maybe next week after hurricane ike has come and gone i'll shoot out there and check the car out and if i'm lucky get a ride in it.

Thanks Infantry, 457 hp thats something else, that is a beast of a ride. And really 50,000 isnt too bad for that ride. There not going to have any problems meeting the reserve.

Yes 50 is a bad price. You could do that exact same build for like 42. I wouldnt pay an extra 8g's just because its going to be in import tuner.

Well right, you can defintly do it yourself for cheaper, but some people would rather pay a little extra to have the work done for them. With 457hp, its getting up there with the M series BMW which is almost twice as much as there asking for the coupe, not going to be the same ride quality......but the coupe is one a kind. Im not agreeing with the price, but just saying someone will buy it so they wont have to deal with all the work.

Actually, I don't think the M series BMW is even doing 457 to the ground!... That's over 500 at the crank!

HOWEVER, I'm sure the BMW makes much better use of those horses being AWD or RWD and having a MUCH better suspension setup...

I can't even imagine 457hp at the the wheels of a FWD car... doesn't sound like a fun ride, gotta be tons of torque steer... also, I still say, save the extra money and use 5K on the custom suspension setup the car will need with that kind of power!

what makes me sad is that the car is still a front wheel drive... with 450hp its just not right...

450 to the rear is just a beauty... i know the cars engine has lots of potential, but the drive train is front wheel... not like il make my car 450hp, but if i was to pay 50g's for a 450 hp car, id get a M3 (if i lived in the states) in canada a M3 cost like a whooopin 80!!

i bought my 3.5 with leather package (premium), plus tax, shipping, and paint fee, i totalled 39 something... so in canada, if you buy a fully loaded coupe with navi, your looking at 42grand

Ehh who knows, maybe Ike is going to smash the car into pieces.

...actually if you think about it, there maybe a possibility it gets flooded. Regardless of price, if anyone of you were to buy the car, I would hold until after the storm.

50K and with 457 WHP, which is what 550 hp? 600hp to the crank? and they didn't even try to do a RWD conversion or a 09 Nissan Murano's rear end to make it a AWD. if they turned it into an AWD and got it to act like an EVO or STi putting that power down to the ground, the thing would be a monster!!! would do what, 9 secs in the 1/4 mile? GT-R did did 11.5 with like 500 hp and it weighs like 4,xxx pounds. with a HUGE weight reduction and 100 more crank HP it would do at least mid to low 10's. but it's not a AWD so ya.

I'm making it awd when I'm done with my studies (5 to 6 years lol)

by then it'll be an awd 500hp+ snow and dirt and drift devil.

I'll put the XWD system from helix (the one in the new saab) and it'll be crazy s*** lol

I don't think the guy is expecting to sell the car...seems to be a cheap way to get publicity for his web site. Did you catch the giant ad banner?

Not a chance in hell that car is putting 460 to the wheels. I have heard, from a few trusted sources, that when they claimed these numbers, the car showed up to shows a few weeks later, without a functional turbo kit...

100% agree i'll bet a leg that its 350-375 at the wheels, and I can't believe how naive some of our brethren are, if they get more than 35K, the person either does not care about money or has no clue about car value, think about it, I was giving it the benefit of the doubt saying it was worth 25000 trade in, more likely that would be retail even though I calced 27250 as suggested retail value.

I'll bet its on Ebay for advertising, they can't seriously think its worth 50k

tell the few trusted people that they're lame. you can't hold a turbokit in a car with zip-ties and it not be completely obvious. A good shop can design and install a functional turbo set-up in a matter of a couple days (which you already know blake). those claims are rediculous and hold no value because they just don't make any sense. Maybe it's a way to down talk your competition in the aftermarket auto world, but word of mouth can't always be considered true regardless of if you consider them trusted sources or not. I haven't seen this car personally on the dyno, but i know the turbo set-up is and was functional at sema.

Its not my way to talk down the competition, however, do you think STILLEN would get 50k for their car with a turbo kit? Its just not practical dude. Much respect to Fox and AP for pioneering a lot of this.

I think you know who my sources are, and they were at SEMA last year as well. They claimed the kit was held on in certain places by zip ties. I trust my sources completely.

If I saw a dyno sheet, I would have far more trust in it. Until then, my car has 460 whp too
