Yay, a decent conversion, that might look ok (hard to tell by the pics)... with a stock engine. Let me pull out my checkbook...

LOL. I should go take a picture of what it looks like when I first close the hood. The driver side of it is usually bent up like 8in from where it's supposed to be. But hey, nothing a good pounding can't fix

Yeah, stock KA, 4 lug auto, can you say lots of show, no go.

The "upgrades" that have been done to the body don't justify the asking price IMHO.

Now if he threw some chrome wheel well trim like on the 1st gen Q pictured, he'd be on the right track???

Ok, firstly, he's not selling it as some uber sports car--he's selling it as a possible show/project car, in which case whomever buys can do whatever they want engine-wise. He even says all it needs is an engine and transmission swap for god's sake. Yes conversions from other cars are mostly lame but if it were an 240 hatch with an S15 front end and kouki tails, it'd "dope yo." Gimme a break, S13's roll around contantly with conversions with mostly stock engines and they're not bashed constantly. But of course I'm not exactly in touch with the breed of 240 owners so don't mind me.

Secondly, Rex--I've seen you mention it on a few posts I think. What exactly is your beef with 4 lug hubs? Did they harm you in some deeply emotional way? I've never understood the whole 5 lug craze unless you absolutely have your heart set on some wheels that only come in the 5 lug config. There's no mechanical advantage at all the going 5 lug. (I know there are still some people that for some reason or another can't figure out to redrill 300ZX brake rotors for 4 lug but you're far from dumb.) If anything, spending the time and money on a 5 lug conversion is just about as useful as this skyline conversion for most people. I'm just trying to gain some insight as to why so many people preach 5 lug as a religion with the only supporting argument of "You get more wheel choices." Well not everyone likes the uber jdm 5 lug only wheels, and I've seen plenty of nice wheels available in four lug. Someone, please shed some light on this for me.

Edit: Oh, and of course it's overpriced--it's a jdm bandwagon mobile.

That has been the second or third ebay attempt on that car. Auto < manual purely for the fun factor Converted 240 to R33 < real R33

I think that there is some actual mechanical advantage to 5 lugs vs 4 lugs.

It's probably something to do with beefier CV shafts

I guess my (repeated) observation, is just a sign of the seriousness of this guys intent. I think it's commonly considered that 5 lugs are perferred over 4 in the sports car world. Is it really important? Probably not. Is it really a sign of the true sports car-ness of his conversion? Nope, there are other signs of that. Does 5 lugs make a car faster? Uh no.

In short, IMHO the car's not worth what he's asking. If he had posted it in our BST, in complinace with our forum rules, I've had said nothing, but that's not the case here.

Anyone who thinks that car is a real r33 should be shot! Any person who has even seen the "almighty" fast and the furious should know that. And plus 15k for that?

MY ,.……. .. . , and we all know what that is copy and paste it if you want : …… : ..: :.. .‘ : :. it took me like 15 minutes ‘:..,..:‘ : : : ‘’’ ‘’’ Well back to the topic of how queer this car really is, the reason that we bash it is because

1. A 240 was never a skyline, as compared to those converted to s15 specs, s13 specs and 180sx specs.

2. He lied about the price of the converion(15k get real)

3. He was stupid enough to pick an automatic as a platform

4. HE WOULD WASTE A PERFECT S14 ON A SHOW CAR BUILD(BASTARD! USE IT FOR SOMETHING THAT REALLY MATTERS LIKE SIDEWAYS FUN!!!!!)

THAT IS JUST MY VENT ON THE MATTER SO BASH IF YOU WANT TO AND SHUT UP IF YOU DISAGREE!

I think he was trying to make some ASCII art. What he doesn't realize is that he's using bb software that automatically removes excess spaces. So the characters don't line up. Probably for that very reason.

They used periods or other characters to fill in the empty spaces, instead of spaces.

m m

^ that had ___________________this much space between the "m"s. It won't work, see?
