With the less-than-impressive horsepower of our beloved 240sx, there is NO mechanical advantage to 5-lugs. Hell, we could probably get away with THREE!!!

Anyway... the half shafts and CV joints are the same on 4 and 5 lug 240's. If anything the 4-lug has the advantage due to less rotating mass. Less rotating mass = more efficient braking and acceleration.
