ok right now i have been looking for a holset turbo. im gonna go with a h1c or a hx35w. i read the world of holset turbo but i wanted to hear for guys that already had there set ups with these turbos. so if anyone could tell me there set up with a holset turbo that be great. also just to make sure can you use the jgs manifold or the ebay manifold. also i read that someone said you could use the ebay fmic set. and for the downpipe does someone know of any places that make a downpipe that will work with a holset set up. sorry for all the questions. i just want to make sure i get all the right stuff the first time. thanks

ok buddy,,,u can use the jgs ,,,as im doin . u cannot use the hx35 w/ the ebay mani ,,i treid crazy *** into the brake mc.yes to the ic set also. i use one of those. the d pipe was the hard part,,, i v banded the down pipe at the turbo. welded one on the rear of the turbo and the front of the down pipe.the best connection ive had yet and this is the 3rd setup ive had. the rest of the d pipe is custom also ,,,had to mock it up weld ,and mock it up again and weld to get it right.i just cut like 3 peices of pipe to fit from d/pipe to down pipe and duct taped it together ,,brought it to work and welded it up.

A downpipe will be your biggest issue. Buy a V-Band kit for your turbo, and talk to local exhaust shops on what they can do for you. Make sure you ask about Mandrel bends or provide your own

im running safc 1 ..... when i get to japan ill try my hand at neo on my 180sx.... it has more programmable fuel points which means even more fine tuning..

as i have said a lot, safc is often given a bad name buy guys who refuse to read the manual once and learn to properly use it....

the key with safc is 550cc and below...

couple that with msd boost timing and your golden dude... i don't even have that.. i just retard my timing 15deg btdc, im only running 10psi so thats safe.

yeaup it will work... you just have to measure accordingly.... if you are trying to just buy the already made jgs manifold.. its a bad idea. because no one is certain of clearance levels... when i did mine i did about 2 check with the turbo mock mounted and got it spot on.
